“Prayer is the most tangible expression of trust in God.” Jerry Bridges “We cannot always trace God’s hand, but we can always trust God’s heart.” Charles Spurgeon “If we fail to work diligently, our lives will be devoid of fruits and results; not because God did not give us the ability, but because we did nothing with the ability He gave us.” Margaret Idahoa “Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love and the future to God’s providence.” Augustine

How long will you hide your face from me? 2 How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me? 3 Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, 4 lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken. 5 But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me. SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Hear the good news of the forgiveness of your sins! 1 John 1:8-9 "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us fromall unrighteousness.” PRAYER OF ADORATION AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The New City Catechism – Q&A #36 Q. What do we believe about the Holy Spirit? A. That he is God, coeternal with the Father and the Son, and that God grants him irrevocably to all who believe.
