(R. C. Sproul)
“Man’s dignity rests in God who assigns an inestimable worth to every person. Man’s origin is not an accident, but a profoundly intelligent act by One who has eternal value; by One who stamps His own image on each person.†(Bonhoeffer)
“Give me such love for God and men as will blot out all hatred and bitterness.†(Dinah Craik)
“Life bears love’s cross; death brings love’s crown.â€

CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 98:7-9 “7Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it! 8Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together 9before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.†
SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer)
ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Psalm 32:1-5 “1Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. 5I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,†and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.â€â€¨ PRAYER OF ADORATION
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH Heidelberg Catechism – Lord’s Day #26 – THE SACRAMENTS, OF HOLY BAPTISM
 69. How is it signified and sealed to you in Holy Baptism that you have part in the one sacrifice of Christ on the cross? Thus: that Christ instituted this outward washing with water[1] and joined to it this promise,[2] that I am washed with His blood and Spirit from the pollution of my soul, that is, from all my sins, as certainly as I am washed outwardly with water, whereby commonly the filthiness of the body is taken away.[3] [1]Mt. 28:19-20; Acts 2:38 [2]Mt. 3:11; Mk. 16:16; Rom. 6:3-4. [3]. Mk. 1:4.
 70. What is it to be washed with the blood and Spirit of Christ? It is to have the forgiveness of sins from God through grace, for the sake of Christ's blood, which He shed for us in His sacrifice on the cross;[1] and also to be renewed by the Holy Spirit and sanctified to be members of Christ, so that we may more and more die unto sin and lead holy and unblamable lives.[2] [1]Heb. 12:24; I Pet. 1:2; Rev. 1:5; Zech. 13:1; Ezek. 36:25-27. [2]Jn. 1:33; 3:3; I Cor. 6:11; 12:13; *Heb. 9:14. 71. Where has Christ promised that we are as certainly washed with His blood and Spirit as with the water of Baptism? In the institution of Baptism, which says: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.[1] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.â€[2] This promise is also repeated where Scripture calls Baptism the washing of regeneration[3] and the washing away of sins.[4] [1]Mt. 28:19. [2]Mk. 16:16. [3]Tit. 3:5. [4]Acts 22:16.

SCRIPTURE READING Ephesians 6:10-13 (Kara Choi) “10Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. 12For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.â€â€¨ SERMON "The Image of God vs. Human Division" – Genesis 1:26-27, 2:4-9 What is God’s Image? North Ryde NSW 2113 OFFERING Offering is part of our worship to God. The Bible gives us
an enduring principle of tithing of our gross income as the baseline for the Christian’s worship through giving (2 Cor 9:7; Malachi 3:8-10). If every church member gave 10%, we would have enough financial resources for all the gospel ministry God is calling our church to do. Let the Spirit guide you in all final matters.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS How well do you get along with those who are different from you (race, gender, nationality, social “classâ€, political affiliation, etc.)? Can you recall times from the past when you experienced conflicts based on these differences? How does the biblical position on common ancestry and bearing the divine image of God inform your unity with the whole of human race? What points of tension do we observe in our own society among people? How can we become the agents of peace and grace in Christ? What was the most helpful/challenging/encouraging part of the sermon for you?
PRAYER FOCUS FOR OPPRESSED PEOPLES THROUGH IJM AFRICA Pray for the IJM Uganda team as they have recently taken on two domestic violence cases. One of the cases resulted in the death of a child, and the other resulted in serious injury to an infant. Pray for God's mercy and healing for the infant who is in the hospital now. Pray for our team to be able to support surviving family members well in the midst of so much deep pain and suffering, and for police and the justice system to follow up quickly on these cases so that justice can be done. SOUTH ASIA Pray that the judgement coming up soon in a 2013 case of bonded labour would bring justice! In this case, IJM helped local authorities rescue three adults (and their five young children who were not working) from ongoing violence and appalling conditions at an embroidery factory. This was one of the first times IJM ever took a case in the embroidery and textiles industry. Please pray that a judgement will be delivered soon (even during pandemic delays) and that the factory owner will be held accountable for exploiting these young families.
1. Adoration Praise the Father for His attributes and actions 2. Confession Confess and acknowledge your sinfulness 3. Thanksgiving Thank Jesus for His salvation 4. Supplication Ask the Spirit to transform you
