(Erwin Lutzer) “No matter how many pleasures Satan offers you, his ultimate intention is to ruin you. Your destruction is his highest priority.” (Josh Billings) “The man who has never been tempted doesn’t know how dishonest he is.” (no acknowledgement; no struggle) (P. T. Forsyth) “Unless there is within us that which is above us, we shall soon yield to that which is about us.”
Presider: Daebi Choi Preacher: P. Jim Jung CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 138:4-8 4All the kings of the earth shall give you thanks, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth, 5and they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, for great is the glory of the Lord. 6For though the Lord is high, he regards the lowly, but the haughty he knows from afar. 7Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand delivers me. 8The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands. SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Hear the good news! 1 John 4:5-7 “5This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” PRAYER OF ADORATION AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The New City Catechism – #3 3. How many persons are there in God? There are three persons in the one true and living God: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are the same in substance, equal in power and glory. [2Corinthians 13:14] “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” SONGS OF PRAISE (Minwoo Yim) Good and Gracious King Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me OFFERING / DEDICATION To help you think about your level of giving, here is the financial snapshot of HCC for this month: Last Week’s Giving: $2,735.00 Total January Giving: $5,501.00 Monthly Budget: $17,130.00 Sydney Space: $18,488.03 GENERAL TITHES & OFFERINGS vs. SYDNEY SPACE OFFERING These are two separate HCC accounts (BSB: 082 057).
