Sunday Program
(Richard Owen Roberts) “There is a sense in which revival is like a prairie fire ignited by a bolt of lightning from the heavens. Without organization, advertising, or even sometimes human leadership, revivals have altered the hearts of men, the social attitudes of millions, and the destinies of nations.” (Oswald Chambers) “We are saved and sanctified for God, not to be specimens in his showrooms, but for God to do with us ever as he did with Jesus—make us broken bread and poured out wine as he chooses.” (Rufus M. Jones) “True joy is not a thing of moods, not a capricious emotion, tied to fluctuating experiences. It is a state and condition of the soul. It survives through pain and sorrow and, like a subterranean spring, waters the whole life. It is intimately allied and bound up with love and goodness, and so is deeply rooted in the life of God.”

Presider: E. David Choi Preacher: P. Jim Jung CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 86:1-7 1Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. 2Preserve my life, for I am godly; save your servant, who trusts in you—you are my God. 3Be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all the day. 4Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 5For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you. 6Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my plea for grace. 7In the day of my trouble I call upon you, for you answer me. SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Hear the good news of the forgiveness of your sins! Romans 8:31-34 “31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? 33Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.” PRAYER OF ADORATION (Claudia) SONGS OF PRAISE Rejoice Be Thou My Vision OFFERING Worthy is the Lamb To help you think about your level of giving, here is the financial snapshot of HCC for this month: Last week’s Giving: $5,312.00 Total Giving for May: $21,927.10 Monthly Budget: $22,000 Sydney Space: $50,779.21 GENERAL TITHES & OFFERINGS vs. SYDNEY SPACE OFFERING These are two separate HCC accounts (BSB: 082 057).
