Happy & Blessed New Year 2021!
(Billy Graham) “God does not discipline us to subdue us, but to condition us for a life of usefulness and blessedness.” (Oswald Chambers) “The culture of the sanctified life is often misunderstood. The discipline of that life consists of suffering, loneliness, patience, and prayer. Many who started with the high ecstasy of vision have ended in the disasters of shallowness!” (Napoleon Bonaparte) “Alexander, Caesar, Charlemagne, and myself founded empires; but upon what did we rest the creations of our genius? Upon force. Jesus Christ alone founded his empire upon love, and at this hour millions of men would die for him.”

Presider: Daebi Choi Preacher: P. Jim Jung CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 136:1-3, 23-26 1Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever. 2Give thanks to the God of gods, for his steadfast love endures forever. Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his steadfast love endures forever; 23It is he who remembered us in our low estate, for his steadfast love endures forever; 24and rescued us from our foes, for his steadfast love endures forever; 25he who gives food to all flesh, for his steadfast love endures forever. 26Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his steadfast love endures forever. SILENT CONFESSION Let us prepare our hearts by privately confessing our sins to our loving Heavenly Father. Be honest before God, and bear your heart and soul to Him. Thank Him and Praise Him for the good things; and confess those sins you knowingly and unknowingly commit, even the sin of omitting the good that you ought to have done. (Silent Private Prayer) ASSURANCE OF PARDON (In Christ, our sins are covered!) Hear the good news! Isaiah 53:5 “5But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” PRAYER OF ADORATION AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The New City Catechism – #1 1. What is our only hope in life and death? That we are not our own but belong, body and soul, both in life and death, to God and to our Savior Jesus Christ. [Romans 14:7-8] 7For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
