Reporting Attendance Procedures
- Please remember to put your car in park once you come to a complete stop. This is to keep our students and staff safe while in carloop.
-Please also keep your speed in car loop under 5 MPH. Talking on your phone or texting while in carloop is prohibited. It distracts drivers and impairs you from being alert and listening to the directions of the staff in carloop.
-In order to keep carloop moving and running on time please make sure your child, when getting their temperature checked, is on the correct side of the car as staff should only be walking in the middle of both lanes and not around cars. This also helps to keep staff and students safe while expediting the car loop process.
-Please do not switch lanes once you have had your child’s carloop number inputted. If you switch lanes after that it causes carloop to slow down and become out of order. So please stay in the lane you came in unless a staff member has asked you to switch lanes.
- We may ask you to pull off to the left shoulder closest to the sidewalk if your child is having difficulty or your child is not in the car and carloop is ready to start moving again.
-Please remember when picking up lunches on Tuesdays to stay in the left lane and have your lunch tag visible for staff to see. You must already be in the left lane when getting your number inputted beforehand. Please do not switch from right lane to left lane if you have already had your carloop number inputted.
Thank you for keeping our children and carloop staff safe by adhering to these carloop guidelines.

For questions about Secondary Athletics please contact our Secondary Athletic Director at: email@example.com
High School Athletics:
While we are patiently waiting to return, plans are being made at the high school level within NIAA guidelines/timeline to begin Women’s Flag Football and Men’s/Women’s Basketball in January. This is contingent upon several factors, however plans are still moving forward and schedules are being finalized and approved. With that in mind, if there is not enough interest from student athletes we will not be able to put together teams to compete in the schedules being made. This is why completing the form below is so important. Please, if you have not done so already get this done. The link is below:

Once we have enough interest in a team emails will be sent out with further information regarding schedules and required paperwork. For your information, the following is the proposed timeline for winter sports (Women’s Flag Football & Basketball):
Winter Season Sports (6 competitive weeks):
Practice may begin Saturday, January 2, 2021
First contest may be held Thursday, January 14*, 2021
Last contest Saturday, February 20, 2021
We appreciate everyone who took the time to fill out the athletics form that was sent out earlier this month. If you have still not done so we need you to complete it so we have an accurate picture of student interest for this year.
We have received questions about the recent announcement from the Governor's office regarding athletics and what it means for our school. The announcement gives us updated guidelines and safety protocols for practice/competitions and is a step in the right direction in allowing us to be able to return to athletics at Sloan Canyon. However, with that being said we are still in a holding pattern until we have approval by the school board and administration to return.
In the meantime, please keep up with your child's academic progress. Academic performance can and will impact athletic eligibility come January. If a student is not passing their classes they will not be eligible to participate in athletics. Check Infinite Campus regularly to monitor academic progress.
PTO cookie dough pickup is Thursday November 5th, 11-2 outside front lobby. Please remember that products arrive frozen, so they'll need to be picked and stored in the freezer as soon as possible.
How to Report an Absence:
Pinecrest Sloan Canyon is implementing a new absence reporting system. The system follows new health and safety guidelines advised by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) and the State Public Charter School Authority (SPCSA). If your child was absent from school, either physically or virtually, you must now report the circumstances of the absence to the school. To report the absence, you will need to go to the Pinecrest Sloan Canyon website,https://www.pinecrestsloancanyon.org/. On the home page of the website, under the Attendance tab you will click on the Student Absence Google Form. Please answer each of the sections completely. Make sure to submit when you are finished.
Thank you for your cooperation. We are committed to keeping the health of our students and staff members our number ONE priority!
If your child is having technical issues with their school issued Chromebook please contact Intellatek first. They are open from 8 am - 12 pm Monday - Friday. The Intellatek Hotline number is: 702-840-6060. If Intellatek tells them to trade their chromebook out please email Dalton Clark at Dalton.Clark@pinecrestnv.org.
