Meet with the Career Development Center to take the FOCUS 2 self-assessment and discover career options. Join a student organization that pertains to your future career plans. Start to think about courses you enjoy or excel in, and research career paths in those areas.
Enroll in UNIV 1101 or UNIV 1000 to familiarize yourself
with UTA and its programs, and start exploring career paths. Visit the Maverick Scholarshop and search for
scholarship opportunities that apply to you. Visit the UTA Registered Student Organizations website.
Check out some organizations you may be interested in,
or start your own. Attend a Maverick Activities Fair or a Study Abroad Fair
to discover unique opportunities.

volunteer opportunities. Attend a Service Learning luncheon to meet with other students who have completed service learning projects and worked with local organizations. Visit your professor's office hours to talk about potential research or volunteer opportunities. Consider tutoring through UTA's Academic 
Success Center.
Begin writing your experience into a resume. Seek out internships in your career area of interest. Meet with an academic coach in the Academic Success Center to begin developing and honing your skill set.

Join a student organization or run for UTA's student council. Take a study abroad opportunity. Visit the Follett Leadership Center and ask about opportunities and alternative break trips. Consider work study positions on campus to gain
