The children continue to show enthusiasm for their learning and work hard each day to achieve their learning goals.
Our teachers have also continued their learning journey throughout the term. They have been involved in Literacy, Numeracy and Religious Education learning with our Teacher Educators. Together with Geometric Reasoning and Positive Behaviour Support for Learning Twilight Sessions.
I wish you a relaxed time with family and friends over the holidays.
Last week our students in Year 3 and Year 5 received their NAPLAN results. These results are an indication of the students progress at a period of time. We know that learning has progressed throughout the year. If you have any concerns you are encouraged to discuss these with your child’s class teacher. If you require an appointment time please see the teacher to make a suitable time.

All other entry will need to be via the front gates on Reservoir Road.
I would like to thank you all for your commitment in fundraising for our school this year! Thank you to all of our families who have contributed to our fundraising this year- no matter how big or small your donation was. We are very grateful. Those students who brought in their money by Tuesday week 9, were rewarded with extra play time on Friday and the feedback was how much the LOVED it!
So far we have raised $12,523.30. This means all of our students have been able to enjoy some incentives at school this week, including Crazy Sock day yesterday and a movie afternoon.
There will still be a major prize of a Chromebook to the student who raises the most money in Infants and Primary. The child who raises the most in each Grade will receive a movie voucher to use during the holidays and the Grade who raises the most will enjoy a pizza party once back at school next Term.
If you have not returned your money there is still time! We ask all money to be collected and brought in no later than Thursday of this week.
We will announce the winners of major prizes on Friday.
We look forward to seeing what playground equipment we can get in both Primary and Infants Playgrounds.
Thank you for a great Term. I hope you have restful and safe holiday, and I look forward to seeing and working with you in Term 4.

What do you think God is asking of us in Australia at this time?
That is the question being asked of all of us in the 2020 National Plenary Council. The 2020 Plenary Council is a national project providing a platform for a broad scale discussion among parishes and Catholics across the country concerning the future of the Church in Australia and what you think God is asking us at this time. Staff, students and parents will be given the opportunity to participate over the next few months. For more information go to http://plenarycouncil.catholic.org.au/
On Friday, we will celebrate St Michael’s Day with Mass at 9.30am in the Church. Please feel most welcome to attend.
On Friday, 2nd Nov we will celebrate our Grandparents with a Liturgy. More details to come.

JOSEPHINE GALEA - STAGE TWO COORDINATOR & WELLBEING and BEHAVIOUR COACH
I have been teaching for 15 years and have been working at St Michael's for 10 years. I have taught Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 4.
This year, I am a Wellbeing and Behaviour Coach. I am finding this role to be very rewarding because I can help Teachers and parents meet the academic, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of all students. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and cooking. I love going camping or going to the beach. I follow the Parramatta Eels NRL team and hope they will win a Grand Final next year! (fingers crossed).
