Trustees join Library Board
Three residents of the Canandaigua City School District were recently appointed to fill vacancies on the Wood Library Board of Trustees. They are Jill Ehrlinger, of Farmington, David Plante, of Farmington, and Andy Thomas, of Canandaigua. All are long-time patrons of the library. Ehrlinger is a special education aide at the Canandaigua Middle School and has been active as a school district volunteer and member of the PTSA. She has served on the Finance Committee of her church and on the CASL board. Plante is a certified planner and project manager with Bergmann Associates. He is a former president of the Farmington-Victor Kiwanis Club and active with the Friends of Farmington Cemetery. He also serves on the board of The Spot and has been a soccer coach. Thomas retired from the Canandaigua City School District having served as director of community relations for many years. He is a guest lecturer in School Community Relations at St. John Fisher College and the University of Rochester. Thomas is on the board of the George Ewing Forum and served on the Granger Homestead board. He has facilitated several author visits at Wood Library and at other community venues.

Donors step up on ROC the Day!
We were thrilled with the generous response to our request to fund two wireless access points for Wood Library. Thanks to the individuals listed below, $4,880 was raised, a record amount of gifts for Wood Library on ROC the Day which took place on December 1, 2020. The wireless access points will be installed on our building early in 2021 and will expand access to free Wi-Fi anywhere on our property, 24/7. This is especially important now as so many in our community are struggling to afford internet service. Wood Library remains committed to digital equity and access for all.
