I am pleased to be writing to you as Principal of Mother Seton School. I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much I look forward to working with you and your children during the coming school year.
I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as the School’s first lay principal. I look forward to partnering with the Daughters of Charity, our outstanding faculty and staff, parents, students, and community members to provide a Christ-centered Catholic education that strives for academic excellence in an environment that is dedicated to loving and serving Christ in the tradition of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and St. Vincent de Paul.
I hope to see you at the August 22 Back to School Barbeque and the August 30 Back to School Drop-in Day. These two events will give me the opportunity to get to know each of you and will also serve as an opportunity for me to witness your love and commitment to Mother Seton School.
A special greeting goes to our new school families. Welcome to the Mother Seton School community!
I hope you are enjoying the summer break and are looking forward to the 2019-2020 school year as much as I am!

We wish our graduates well as they move on to their next big adventure: high school! Our newest alumni will be attending St. John's Catholic Prep; Delone Catholic; Catoctin High School; Gov Thomas Johnson High School; and Gettysburg High School. No matter where they go, our graduates know they'll always have a home at Mother Seton School! God Bless and Good Luck!
Congratulations Class of 2019!
The Home and School Association plays a pivotal role at MSS. They are the link between school and family. Not only does the HSA work hard to support MSS with fundraisers, the proceeds of which are used to pay for classroom enrichment, but the HSA also provides family fun activities for our school community like the Fall Fest, Father-Daughter Dance, & Mother-Son Bowling.
We are blessed with a group of talented, hard-working committee heads for our events. Now we need a few parents (or grandparents!) to step up and help lead our HSA! Help us continue to make a difference for our students. The President and VP of HSA will be responsible for supporting the various committees, acting as liaison between the HSA and administration, conducting meetings, communicating with families, and coordinating the HSA calendar. With a built-in support team, you won't be alone!
Please consider filling these important leadership roles. We can't do it without you!

encouragement that reading become a lifelong habit.
reluctant readers can be drawn in by the activities.
reading over the summer helps children keep their skills up.
the program can generate interest in the library and books.
