Diana is always in the mood to create: this happy inclination and impulse arise spontaneously within her and form an integral part of her life. Nature, for Diana, is the best source of new ideas. A walk along the Mediterranean coast, contemplation of the high crowns of the eucalyptus and palms against the background of the setting sun, and the boundless southern sky create the illusion that the surrounding world is inexhaustible and limitless: this is what fills the artist with energy and inspiration. Diana believes that it is very important for a human being to be in harmony with self and nature. Only then is it possible to commune with all the beauty of the surrounding world, hear the murmur of the trees and flowers, be in touch with the music of waterfalls and torrential rain, and sense the breath of the sea and passing clouds. The creative process, this special magical world in which the artist is submerged, is invariably accompanied by music, which has always occupied an important place in Diana’s life. Listening to classical and modern music, she is transported to a special realm where different images and pictures appear, sometimes just bright splashes of color responding to each other, which the artist then tries to transfer to canvas. Diana’s artworks reflect the images evoked in her soul as she listens to music. The artist believes that painting and music are interconnected by special deep inner ties having the same foundation as the diverse manifestations of life. Diana who by her training and profession, is a Doctor of Medicine (M.D., Ph.D.), is convinced that painting, like music, can heal spiritual wounds and help people find their own life paths. http://gwr-artgallery.com https://www.instagram.com/malivani_art_gallery/

I have been painting and experimenting with colour theory for over 30 years. I graduated with my BA in Visual Arts and Social Work followed by my Bachelor of Education in Arts from Nipissing University with a passion for creating art as a healing medium. I began drawing at an early age and started painting in my early 20’s and always wanted to be an art teacher. I am most inspired by the natural beauty of my surroundings and most of my adult life has been spent experimenting with pigment and colour behaviour. I originally worked with watercolour, a medium in which pigment characteristics are most apparent and began experimenting with pen and ink. However, it was the magical quality of alcohol ink that encouraged me to try something new and to explore this multi media work to create pigment effects. The explosive energy of alcohol ink and its viscosity results in abstract images that are brought alive and are quite magical in their depth and dimensional imagery. The resulting images seem directly related to patterns found throughout the natural world, rather microscopic or celestial. As a colour enthusiast, I love the viscosity of alcohol ink as a vehicle that harnesses its power to attract or repel each other as they view for a position in the flowing journey of evolving patterns.

Diana Malivani The Artist’s creative journey began at birth: Diana Malivani was born on the coast of the Black Sea, bathed in the riotous profusion of the colors of the Caucasus. Her love as a child for fairy tales and pictures later developed into a desire to convey, to those hearing and viewing her work, the great feeling for nature which enhances her life and the lives of those she loves. Diana’s paintings reflect her soul, her love for music and nature, for an infinite variety of melodies and sounds, for shades and colors, for all that nature creates: the rustling of wet leaves and the first rays of dawn, the roar of the sea surf and the scent of a flowering meadow, the flight of screeching gulls and dewdrops on a blossoming rose... As she draws flowers and depicts landscapes (the principal themes of her artwork), deals with marine subjects, creates abstract compositions, and transfers music to canvas (the Artist’s main project bears the name «Seeing Music»), Diana strives to share these feelings with others, to share with others a part of her soul. Diana Malivani is listed in the database of Artprice, the world leader in art market information. Her works regularly appear in exhibitions in several countries and are published in international art journals. After many years spent in Russia and France, Diana now lives with her family in Cyprus, where her paintings are exhibited in a number of local galleries. Diana who by her training and profession is a Doctor of Medicine (M.D., Ph.D.), is also the author and illustrator of children’s books published in Russian, English, French and German. She still volunteers in creating recipes for people with food allergies. Kristina Nicolina Photography Kristina went to Penn State University with no clear idea for a major. A close friend noticed her penchant and love for helping children and suggested a career in education. At first, it was a thrilling career, shaping little minds into future learners and leaders, but soon that became too much like "a job.” After taking a much-needed break, Kristina rediscovered a passion she has held since her teenage years. She once again picked up a camera and spent countless hours capturing and editing thousands of images in order to hone her craft. She was rewarded for her hard work with a solo photography exhibit in her home town. Her exhibit sparked a flame inside her that still burns to this day. The burning for the perfect shot. The striving for the perfect composition. Kristina believes that she has yet to take her best image, and it is this desire that fuels her ambition for perfection in every frame she shoots. www.facebook.com/kristinanicolina Tori Tori is a poet, photographer, editor, and ceramic artist. Tori discovered her love of poetry by accident. It wasn’t until college that she really started to develop her love and skill for the written word. After taking many poetry workshops with a professor who would soon become her mentor, she realized that poetry wasn’t just a passion, it was what she was meant to do. Tori soon after discovered a love for pottery. She loves the feeling of making a piece of art out of what once was just a lump of clay. There is magic and wonder in that process and all that goes into it. You can find her on Instagram: @tori.s.designs
