Secondary Athletics
Ahoy Pirates, High School Athletics: Our High School Girls Flag Football team began their season a few weeks ago. Thank you to Coach Barnes and best of luck to our Lady Pirates this season! At this time Basketball is still categorized as not cleared to compete per mandates set forth by the Governor’s office. We look forward to a great season next year in a new gymnasium. The remaining NIAA (High School) shortened seasons for Fall and Spring are still currently in place and would include Girls Volleyball, Cross Country, Soccer and Track & Field. At this time there has not been enough interest received to field a soccer team at the high school level. It is imperative that athletes complete the Register My Athlete process in order to have an accurate count for teams and to form rosters. A step by step guide to complete registration is available on the NIAA RMA for parents page: http://www.niaa.com/x/cxdts Athletes are NOT allowed to practice or compete without a completed RMA. Physicals have been extended and will be good for 2 years due to COVID restrictions. Documentation must be uploaded to the athletes RMA portal. Fees will not be charged until there is clarification and confirmation that a season will take place for a program. Please get your registration done as soon as possible so there are not delays in your athletes’ ability to participate. Middle School Update: The latest from NCSAA was that winter season sports for middle school have been canceled. There are still plans to hold limited sports in the spring which would include Soccer, Track and Cross Country. If your middle school athlete is interested in participating in one of these please complete the interest form below by 1/20/2021. This will allow us to determine interest and our ability to fill teams/rosters. https://forms.gle/oh1ZzXKJWCgpkbaCA
