Workshop on the book Conceptualizing Capitalism: Institutions, Evolution, Future with the author Geoffrey M. Hodgson (Univ. of Hertfortshire) hosted by the YSI Finance, Law, and Econmics Working Group In six interactive sessions we will explore capitalism in its myriad dimensions from employment, labor, firms, finance, and property to the role of the state and the role of law. All participants are asked to read Chapters 1-10 and each may choose one of chapters 11-16. The organizers encourage the submission of abstracts that build on and expand but also critique Hodgson's framework on the role of law in financial capitalism.
