On Wednesday September 18, you are invited to attend a social development workshop called "Bridges out of Poverty". This course will help us understand what it's like to live in poverty and also how poverty affects our community.
Poverty is a social problem that calls for a social solution. We can't fight poverty by alleviating its symptoms. We need to attack the factors of poverty. This requires understanding and empathy. Programs like foodbanks are necessary but they address symptoms, not the bigger problem. We need to stop giving people fish and give them the tools to fish for themselves.
I hope you will invest in our community by giving your afternoon (1-4pm) to attend this course. The cost is only $20 and subsidized spots are available for anyone who needs them. Please sign up and join us as this is an opportunity to make significant change in our community.

NEW TO NORTH PERTH - A welcome package that will contain basic information along with the community directory, as well as FREE GIFTS or VOUCHERS to capitalize on the proven tendencies of new residents.
Studies prove that new residents will develop new purchasing habits. Greeting a new resident with free gifts is the simplest and most cost effective approach to gaining access to this revenue.
Our approach is modernized and streamlined. We know that new residents could potentially live within the serviceable area of a local business for years without ever stepping foot into that business—let’s start bridging that gap!
MARKETING WITH A PURPOSE
This program will direct new residents, who are already consciously developing new buying habits, directly to our stores, restaurants and service providers. The intention is to offer them an incentive to check out your business and to do so at an extremely affordate rate. The real value lies in the gift that a particular business offers the new resident.
What are we asking from you?
*Chamber Members can provide a gift or Voucher of Value for this package—Let us know you want to be in this package and we will manage the rest.
* If you meet new people, give them a card to come see us—and we’ll do our best to engage and support our new residents, and they too will fall in love with this community.
