It all started with Take Action Apparel & Gear. With first-hand knowledge that bullying has become a serious epidemic in schools across the nation, Gabriel L. Silva wanted to help give kids like him a voice! "I was a victim of repeated bullying. I am small for my age and kids would make fun of me for my size. Eventually, the verbal turned physical. I know that not everyone is going to like me, and I am actually okay with that. But disliking and mistreating someone physically, verbally, or emotionally for basically being different and not taking the opportunity to get to know them for who they are, is not okay. I had an opportunity to travel to LA for pilot season, when I came home, I found out that three of my friends had had an even harder time than I did at school. I knew what they were feeling, but I was helpless to help them. I wanted to do something. So, we got together with a group of experts and some really cool designers to create Take Action Apparel & Gear." Fast forward through time, and as a result of Take Action Apparel & Gear, Action Magazine was born, giving a worldwide platform for both adults and kids in the industry, who are passionate about taking a stance against bullying, a place to share their stories. Effects on children that either are the bully or that are being bullied go well beyond the school day and sometimes last a lifetime. Students who are bullied sometimes resort to suicide and the bullies often find themselves incarcerated by the time that they are adults. "Action Magazine is a great way to showcase amazing talent within the industry, while at the same time, giving them an opportunity to let kids know that they are not alone and help them to feel empowered. I found my voice through acting/modeling and practicing Tae Kwon Do, I stopped focusing on the negative and was able to discover the positive in me. If we help just one by sharing our stories, then Action Magazine is doing what we have created it to do."

Cooper was born in Southern California where he began acting at the age of 5, following in the footsteps of his older brother Quinn Friedman. After booking over 20 commercials, Cooper made his acting debut on the HBO series Togetherness starring Mark Duplass and Melanie Lynskey, which he followed with a recurring role on the Nickelodeon series Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn. He has also recurred on several other television series, most notably playing the role of "Dewey" on Girl Meets World for Disney Channel, as well as playing "Hudson" on the former USA series Colony and "Lucas" on the long running Showtime series Shameless. Currently, this talented young man is starring in an upcoming film called, Small Town Wisconsin where he has to deal with the journey of having to cope with an alcoholic parent. Action Magazine caught up with Cooper to get to know him a lot better. Take a peek at some of his answers to our staple game of Q&A. He unquestionably is young star on the rise. Don't forget to follow him on Instagram. We are sure that this is one journey that you don't want to miss.
What are five things that you can't live without? My family, my dog, my friends, food, my phone What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? The life motto I live by is Live in the moment and do not take anything for granted. What's your favorite color? My favorite color is blue. What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie is Breakfast Club. What is your favorite TV show? My favorite TV show is The Office. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have a dog that we just got in July. Her name is Nugget and she is a Chihuahua/ Dachshund mix. She is the sweetest and best dog. I love her so much and she is definitely part of the family. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? My favorite place that I have traveled to would be Poland. My mom is from Poland and it was so fun going there last summer and getting to see where she was born and grew up. Poland is a very beautiful country with many historical and old cities. We drove around the country and explored. What is your favorite food? My favorite food is California roles. Since the pandemic, we have been making a lot of our own Sushi at home. It is a lot of fun to make California roles and they are very tasty when you make them yourself. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? I would love to have dinner with Jim Carrey. I love his acting and he is so good at creating characters and doing impressions. I would love to talk to him about his characters and how he goes about creating them. What made you want to start acting? My brother was already acting when I was born. I watched him go to auditions and book jobs. It was fun going to auditions with him and watching him learn lines. I tried to practice with him and I knew that I wanted to do it too. When I turned 4, I had my first job with my brother. We played brothers on a TV Show called Togetherness for HBO. What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? I really can not think of anything that is difficult. I love everything about it. I would like to be an actor for the rest of my life. Maybe when I am older, I will find things that are difficult about it, but hopefully not. How do you prepare for auditions? I first read the sides (lines) for the audition over and over again. I memorize it in my head. I then break down the character and try to think like the character. I practice the lines with my dad. He helps me a lot with the audition and gives me pointers. How do you handle rejections? When I do not get a part, I don’t think of it as a rejection. I feel that the parts I do not get where not meant for me. There are a lot of variables that go into getting a part and the number one is that you need to be right for the part. So, when I do not get the part that means I just was not right for it. You have portrayed so many amazing roles. What has been your favorite to date? How similar and different is your character to your real personality? I think my favorite role to date would have to be Alec in ATypical Wednesdays. I love playing this character because I was able to show the effects of bullying and how bullying affected my character. My character had aggressive outbursts and was disturbed emotionally. He was also funny and lovable and just wanted people around him to understand him. Another reason I liked to play this role was that I am not like this character in my real life. Therefore, this character challenged me, and I got to learn from this character. You have siblings that are also actors. Is it difficult to "share the spotlight" or do you all find it comforting to have someone to talk to about the industry?Would you like to work with your siblings on screen one day? I love that my brother and sister are both actors. We have auditioned together several times. I have worked on jobs with both my sister and my brother. They were definitely some of the best times on set. I love that I am able to share all these experiences with my siblings. We have traveled to different states and countries together for some of my roles. We have made many great memories together as a result. In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I am passionate about anti bullying. I have been involved with an anti bullying organization called SayNotoBullying for several years. I think that everyone gets effected by bullying and it is very sad and disturbing. I wish that bullying did not exist and that kids are able to grow and mature without having to deal with bullying. Bullying is extremely terrible for a person’s mental health. We all need to come together and stop bullying and teach our generation that bullying can be eliminated. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? My favorite actor is Steve Carrell. I have worked with him in the Battle of the Sexes movie. He was very easy to talk to and I loved listening to him talk about his character in Despicable Me. Steve Carrell is a great actor, and I have always looked up to him. How would you describe your fashion style? I love to wear comfortable clothes. My favorite pieces of clothes are joggers. I would say my fashion style is hip and lazy. Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? I met Ava Kolker and August Maturo on the set of Girl Meets World. I loved working with them and we became great friends. In fact, Ava and Auggie are one of my closest friends and they are like family. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? The advice I would give to other kids that want to break into acting is to try an acting class first. An acting class is a good way to learn and to see if you really want to act. It takes a lot of time and determination to be an actor. However, if you really want to become an actor/actress then pursue it with all your heart and do not give up. Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? I would love to be in a movie or TV show with Adam Sandler. I would love to play his son and play a character that is funny and silly. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I really, really do not like chocolate. I do not like the smell or taste. I don’t even like looking at it. Have you ever been bullied? Yes, I have been cyber bullied. Luckily, I have learned from my parents and from the anti-bullying organizations to not let the mean online comments bother me. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? I think that kids who are suffering from bullying should get help from their parents or from other trusted adults. They need to realize that they are wonderful and that these bullies have a problem and also need to get help. We are all beautiful and amazing in our own right and I hope that my generation can put an end to bullying. If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell him to remember about the person that you are today and what would you tell him that you hope he strives for in the future? I would tell my 21-year-old self to not take things too seriously, to always laugh, to smile at everyone and to live with a kind heart. I want my adult self to strive to be the best version of myself, to put family and friends first, and to never give up.

What are five things that you can't live without? Chiara: Five things I can’t live without are my phone, laptop, books, family, and mascara. Bianca: My family, my phone, mascara, my dogs, and my laptop. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Chiara: My life’s motto is to never give up. People can try to tear you down, but keep pushing for your dreams. Success is the best revenge..said by somebody...Lol. Bianca: Nothing in life that’s hard is easy. What's your favorite color? Chiara: My favorite colors are blue and yellow. Bianca: Pink What is your favorite movie? Chiara: My favorite movies are 10 Things I Hate About You and The Greatest Showman. Bianca: I have a lot of favorite movies. I love The Greatest Showman, Instant Family, Any of the Harry Potter movies, and Bohemian Rhapsody. What is your favorite TV show? Chiara: My favorite shows are Stranger Things and Killing Eve. Bianca: I love Killing Eve and Stranger Things! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Chiara: We have two rescue dogs named Max, who is a St. Bernard, and Cali, a Newfoundland. Bianca: We also have a bulldog. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Chiara: My favorite place I’ve traveled to is either Rome or Venice. Bianca: I would have to say Cannes! We went for the Cannes Film Festival a few years ago and have made it a tradition to go when we can. What is your favorite food? Chiara: My favorite food is Pasta. I love marinara pasta. Bianca: I love pasta! Italian food is my favorite. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Chiara: Jodie Comer. I would love to ask her questions about her roles and how she prepares for them. She is such an amazing actress. Bianca: I would love to have dinner with Jodie Comer. She is my favorite actress and I would love to know how she prepares for roles and her advice for actors. What made you want to start acting? Chiara: We started acting when we were three years old, which in the entertainment industry is late for twins. People would always stop our parents on the street asking them if we were in the business, and after a little bit of time passed, my parents started submitting us for auditions. After a few auditions, we got an audition for the Young and the Restless. We went into the audition and found out we booked the role of Young Summer Newman. Ever since then, we’ve loved the business.Bianca: My parents had a few people come up to them and tell them that we should be in the business because we were twins. My parents were on the fence for a while but decided to give it a shot. We were three years old when we landed our first role on the Young and the Restless as Summer Newman and have loved acting ever since. What is the most difficult thing about being an actress? Chiara: I think the most difficult thing about being an actress is the rejection. When I started my career, I was letting the rejection get to me. Over the years, I’ve learned that everything happens for a reason and one role will never be the end of the world. I always strive to keep going. Bianca: Dealing with rejection. I just went to producers for a new pilot and didn't book it . Then I realized how lucky I am that I had the audition and got as far as I did. What is the most difficult thing about sharing the spotlight with a twin? Chiara: I would say it’s the competition between us for certain roles. Over time, we learned that if one of us books a role, it helps both of us in the long run. We are super supportive of each other's successes. Bianca: I would say auditioning for single parts. Sometimes casting directors don’t want to upset one twin for picking the other one so they just don’t choose either of us. As we’ve gotten older, that issue doesn’t happen as often as when we were younger. What is the best part about sharing the spotlight with a twin? Chiara: I think that the best part about being in the spotlight with a twin is that I always have someone with me. I can experience the highs and lows of my career with my best friend. Bianca: Always having someone to run lines and hang out with on set! Working with my twin is always such a fun time and I love it. For your roles in The Ya Series and The Bay Series tell us about your character. How similar and different is she to your real personality? Chiara: I play Regan Sanders, who is the twin sister of Frankie Sanders. Regan has many similarities to me. For instance, she cares about all of her friends and family so deeply. She is very down to earth and is very shy of new situations, especially when her sister is a social butterfly. Over the season you start to see her grow as a person, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet her. Bianca: I play Frankie Sanders who just moved to this new town with no friends or family besides her twin and grandmother. Frankie is outgoing and says whatever is on her mind, even when she shouldn’t. She is adventurous and cares for everyone, especially Regan. I would say that Frankie and I are similar in a lot of ways. We are both honest and caring of others. In addition to acting, what other industry pathways are you interested in? Do you see yourselves eventually taking on projects separately? Chiara: Bianca and I have booked roles separately. I was just on Diary of a Future President on Disney Plus, while Bianca was on a new movie called Lady of the Manor with Justin Long and Ryan Phillipie. In addition to acting, I want to become a writer when I’m older. Bianca: My dream is to become a director! I love studying how film works behind the scenes and what it takes to make a perfect scene. Chiara and I love working together and separately and have done it in the past. I see us in the future acting together and separately. In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? Chiara: Bianca and I work with several organizations very near and dear to our hearts. We work with an anti-bullying organization called Boo2Bullying, ASPCA, St. Judes, and the Alzhemiers Association. Volunteering is super important to Bianca and I. We think giving back to our community is necessary and I hope to work with more organizations in the future. Bianca: I am very passionate about giving back to the community. I work with Best Friends Animal Society, ASPCA, Boo2Bullying, the Alzheimer’s Association, and St. Jude’s. It’s important to always give back and care for others. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Chiara: Jodie Comer is my favorite actress. The way she transforms and becomes the characters she plays is extraordinary to me. I look up to her as an actress and I would love to work with her one day. Bianca: I love Jodie Comer! She is my favorite actress and someone who I would love to work with in the future. She is such a dedicated actor and makes whichever character she is playing her own. How would you describe your fashion style? Chiara: I would describe my fashion style as dressy casual. I love wearing flowy pieces with every outfit I wear. Bianca: I would have to say casual chic. I like to stay classy and comfy! Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? Chiara: Working with Kristos Andrews from The Bay was one of the many favorite actors I’ve worked with. He always is so into his character and prepares for the scene in a complex way. He is truly inspiring to work with. Bianca: I had such a fun time working with Melanie Lynskey! I had a scene with her in a new movie called Lady of the Manor and she was hilarious. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? Chiara: I would say to never give up. Sign up for any opportunity in your region and get the experience of being on stage before submitting for auditions. Bianca: I would say to never give up. I know it sounds cliché, but it’s true! Always believe in yourself and never stop working for your dreams. Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? Chiara: I would love to collaborate with Jodie Comer, Julia Garner, Winona Ryder, and many more actors and actresses in the future. I have a whole list on my phone! Bianca: Jodie Comer and Zendaya! Working on a project with both of them would be amazing. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? Chiara: A random fact about me is that I read all the time. Last year alone, I read 32 books. This year I hope I can break that record. Bianca: That I read thirty books last year. I am a total bookworm and forever will be! We just started a bookclub ..so join us! Have you ever been bullied? Chiara: Unfortunately we have been bullied. Now that we have the world at our fingertips because of the internet, cyberbullying has increased for everyone. It's really sad when adults/parents get involved and make fake accounts to hurt kids. We had this happen to us and some of our friends have it right now. Not sure when harassing children has become acceptable. But we just used that negative experience to inspire us to work harder. Bianca: Before I was homeschooled, I was bullied at my previous school. It was such a hard experience to go through at such a young age and I got through it with the support of my family and friends. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Chiara: I would say to never let people’s comments or opinions about you get to your head. I block out any sort of negativity in my head and focus on the things that make me happy. Like I mentioned above, we used that experience only to drive us harder to achieve our goals. Bianca: To confide in an adult, family member, or friend with what is happening to you. They will help guide you through it and you will be thankful you told someone. If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell her to remember about the person you are today? What advice would you give her for the future? Chiara: I would tell them that I’m so proud of them for continuing to work hard. I hope that by the time I’m 21 I’ve written a feature film or television show. Today, I am a working student and actor. In the future, I hope I am still a working student who has followed her dreams of becoming a writer. Bianca: I would tell my future self to remember what led myself to the place I am today. All the hard work and rejection hurt in the moment but was worth it in the future. I hope my future self-strives for her goals and continues to never give up.
Suffer in silence no more
Speak up! Speak out! Step up!
1 out of 4 kids is bullied every month in the U.S. 1 out of 10 children drop out of school due to bullying. 160,000 kids miss school each day for fear of being bullied. Every seven minutes, a child is bullied on the playground at school. 4,400 deaths occur each year as a result of bullying. Bullying can be… physical, mental, verbal, and can occur in person or in cyberspace. The epidemic can be eradicated if we stand together and remember, silence can be deadly...
Victims of bullying are never anonymous.
Remember their faces. Know their names. Hear their voices. Tell their stories.

What are five things that you can't live without? Not including human beings; skateboarding, Açaí bowls, music, the sun, shucks I don’t know…ah! Anime. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? If you stay ready you don’t have to get ready - Palegod the Pasty Prince. Love is the new money - Teyana Taylor. God is love - John. What's your favorite color? I don’t know, I like to wear navy blue clothes. I like red on paper and green objects. What is your favorite movie? Heavy one…Akira is great. What is your favorite TV show? Sheeeeeewwww. Cobra Kai! Hahah for real though. Let’s go with FLCL. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Had a dog named Charlie for about 14 years. Rip. I’m allergic to animals, so after him that was it. He was a Chinese crested and didn’t bother me. My mom is lowkey a heavy hitter animal rescuer. She has 12 dogs plus fosters. Check out Saving the Chain Dogs. Side note, I looked into getting a wombat, but it turns out they’re illegal in a few states and will tear your stuff up. Like they are chimpanzee strong and will just punch their way through cages or doors. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Just sent a 7 day camping and skating trip to OBX NC with the @fianceskate crew! Top charts for sure. Cuba is amazing, would like to hit Japan soon, honestly running I-40 coast to coast is awesome. What is your favorite food? I know we talked about Açaí bowls earlier, but I love sweet tea and chicken biscuits. SC born and raised. It’s in my blood. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Hmmm, living person….not sure really. Kanye West probably. I am really just curious what his diet is like. Honestly, now that we are on this subject action Bronson can feast and I’m trying to feast. What made you want to start acting? I was thrown into it by chance as a child. I grew up acting and never knew anything else. I found the passion for it really in my teens. I was always stoked, but I remember realizing the art behind film and getting stoked particularly after filming Palo Alto. What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? Auditioning is absolutely lame. This is because of the process and state of the industry. I don’t think it’s very effective. Besides that some people have ego issues as well. If you can book a gig and blow off the kooks it’s great though! You get paid to travel, eat and play pretend. How do you prepare for auditions? Hahah! Sorry, great follow up. Well, I set up my gear and get the crispy lighting. I usually like to read with someone very close to me or a fellow actor. When I act I’m very vulnerable.100% open window to my soul and it’s scary to feel people looking in there. If I’m with someone I trust not to look too deeply at me, then I’ll relax and perform better. Technically; I read my lines through once top to bottom including stage ques, after that I only read my lines. I’ll memorize them after about ten or less reads and while reading play the scene out in my imagination. It’s like I’m doing 2-3 steps at once. It’s gotten to the point where I can perform at about 90% first try. I’m usually happy with my first take. I try not to try too hard. It seems like today’s industry is heavily influenced on looks which I don’t blame them for. They have millions of talented people sending in tapes. Directors can literally find the exact person they imagined in their mind for the role. How do you handle rejections? Big one, I’m pretty good at it. I don’t really care anymore. I’ve been in front of people performing for so long I can accept rejection in almost any form with ease. It takes awhile to learn to disassociate rejection with your ego. Honestly, there’s a fire Ted talk about rejection that can really do better at speaking to this topic than I can. I don’t know how to properly bring closure to this topic in words at the moment. I would suggest anyone with rejection issues to go out and start asking ridiculous questions to get rejected purposefully. Like ask some one for $20.00 on the street. You know you’re gonna fail, so you’ll get used to hear no. Then, when you get a no on something you expected a yes to it want hurt as bad. After that learn to use that as stoke to the fire and do better next time. For your role in the Netflix show, Cobra Kai, tell us about your character. How similar and different is he to your real personality? Brucks is a sweet hearted fun loving bully who follows Kyler blindly. I think I have a loyalty similar to Brucks. I also gave that character a lot of my skater vernacular. I’m for sure different in many ways. Like I would never be caught riding in the back of a Jeep Wrangler. What has been your favorite moment on the set Cobra Kai? Hmm having my birthday in set was a rad time. The crew and cast surprised me with a cake and we shot a super fun scene that day too. Brucks and Kyler we’re giving Lip a hard time in the library. In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) I love skateboarding and I give back to through skating. Check out homeforskateboarding.org. Also, I support my mother's dog rescue! After those things I think that providing clothes and food for those in need is super important. Finally, I advocate for mental health as well. Most humans live in a state of survival with their sympathetic nervous system engaged daily. That’s so so dangerous and it ultimately becomes an addiction to stress which is as obvious as it sounds, a vicious cycle. Y’all please try to reach a state of creativity, engage your parasympathetic nervous system and learn to be present. Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? Hmm skating has saved my life and I see first hand that it can teach thousands of life lessons. You don’t need a team or facility to participate. I think animals in general are mistreated and that we are destroying the earth faster than it can regenerate. We got about 20-30 years left. That's a scientific fact. I think consumerism is dangerous. We all are living in a simulation. Just be careful out there and don’t trust the reality you see on social media. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Robin Williams is GOATed. Whoopi Goldberg is awesome. I don’t know...lots to choose from. How would you describe your fashion style? Not sure, I’m super into fashion though! Probably street wear. Listening to hot boyz and skating for 13 years. It’s funny watching trends in skating evolve into high fashion. We brought back cuffed pants 10 years ago and we brought back the Phanny pack recently too and the last two years almost every high fashion runway show has been literally ripping from skating so hard that our culture makes memes about it. If I’m not in street wear I like wearing heavy duty work clothing in the winter. That stuff is super practical. Those vest keep you very warm! Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? I’ve been blessed with a wild ride of a career. I have some awesome stories for sure. Zoe Saldana was super cool! James Franco is a funny guy too. Lived at his house for a few months while working on some projects with Rabbit Bandini. Danny McBride and Will Ferrel are like uncle figures. I spent time with them at a super influential age and they were very good to me as a naive quite kid. My time with them built a foundation for my comedic skill set which I think is my strong suit. Those are just some of the house hold names. I think I’ve made the biggest connections with actors that I now know as friends and we have had some of the best times. Off top! Shout out to Sam Dillon, Nina Ljeti, and Andrew Luetheran there are so many more though. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? Use that phone. Build reels shoot stuff with your friends. Focus on the craft build your skills. Viral fame is short lived. True art last forever. Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? These are fun questions! Hmm shucks not sure really. I got to work with one of my good homies Dj Dollamenu on Skateshop the Movie recently. That was awesome. Our chemistry is off the charts. Like Rush Hour caliber. Let’s get hypothetical. Chloe grace Mortez is rad, she’s got a nice range of moods. After that I’m trying to hop in the booth and play an anime character! Hayato Date HMU! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? Hahah isn’t that the point. Have you ever been bullied? Yeah plenty of times in many ways. It’s not simply the corny type of bullying you see In Cobra Kai. I’ve had people call me fat throughout my life plenty I’ve gotten over that dis a few years ago, plenty of social media crap, and people have thrown stuff at me while skating down the road before. Like milkshakes, full on Nicholas Cage weatherman style. I’ve been spit on in fair rides cause my hair was a big blonde Afro aka a target honestly so many things seriously at the end of the day it’s all stupid. People are hating because they feel anguish. Turn the other cheek and squash the beef if you can’t then ignore them. They’ll get bored after a while. Screw em! What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? I kinda just touched on that, but to go deeper, I would focus on building self worth, tackling your weaknesses head on and getting comfortable with them and embrace them, find outlets to express your self and learn to access you consciousness. Once you can realize how silly our social constructs are you will stop caring. If you could talk to your 15-year-old self, what would you tell him to remember about the person that he is and what would you tell him to strive for in the future? I think about stuff like this all the time. I’m pretty intrigued, I wonder how much I can tell myself without it altering my reality now. With that in mind my best bet is to tell myself at 15 to cut back on the sweet tea. Haha I’m worried. I’m very happy with my life and my current situation.

What are five things that you can't live without? The nonnegotiables in my life are my faith, my family, my friends, music, laughter and sleep. Sorry that’s six...the thing I can live without is math! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.- Oscar Wilde What's your favorite color? Definitely white because It's such a pure and clean color and it goes with everything! What is your favorite movie? The Imitation Game What is your favorite TV show? The Office Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? The world calls them cats...I call them my therapists: Prince and Percy. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Cancun….I love the tranquility and healing properties of the beach and Cancun is so restorative. What is your favorite food? All things Pasta and Sushi but not at the same time lol! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Ricky Gervais! Although I'm not sure dinner would be a good idea since I probably wouldn't be able to keep the food down. What made you want to start singing? Once upon a time there was a pregnant woman who had a Broadway husband who sang to her tummy every day….and the rest is history. What is the most difficult thing about being a musician? Wanting to make everyone happy. First and foremost, art is subjective so therefore, everyone has different tastes and different opinions. Being a young artist I had to learn not to be influenced by what was “sellable” and instead be honest to my voice. Writing is very personal to me and when I create what I need to say, my well is filled. Where do you find your inspiration for your music? It’s said the hardest part about writing is sitting down to write…the blank page is humbling, petrifying and exciting all at the same time. Therefore, I don’t attempt to write...I commit to listen. Sometimes it’s the fallout of my emotions that lead the charge, other times it’s nature, and sometimes it’s simply listening to another song where a beat or a harmony inspires me. Now that I am sharing my heart with the world, all I can care about is how I feel about the intent and the care that went into every word and hope that others feel something, and if they do, then that is icing on the cake. Tell us about your latest project, "Unity"? My latest EP Unity is made up of 5 songs all based on real life struggles that I had either been through or had witnessed. The EP includes 5 singles that are all based on a specific cause or subject matter that were important for me to voice. My first song “Invisible” came from a place of growth in one of my relationships and it really impacted the writing and subject matter of the tracks that came after. It was the most personal and vulnerable I’ve been and, as a young artist, hearing how the lyrics had inspired and impacted so many people on the same personal level, it made me strive to create more music that resonated just as deeply. Given the chaos and unrest in our society today there is an emotional toll that needs more harmony and light and so from beginning with a more personal voice to collaborating on a larger scale that reflects everyone’s voice felt like a complete journey for the EP. Other than the EP release my team and I are currently working on the second visual off of the EP! My first music video “Invisible” was just released and is available to watch on YouTube, iTunes etc…and now we are working on a video for the title track “Unity.” This song and general concept of the video is about bringing people together despite their differences in Unity. The video features rapper Paul Toweh with Marcus Mitchell, (Step it Up), and Kayla Radomsk,i (So You Think You Can Dance), dancing with choreography by Fresh Redding and assistant specialty choreographer Outrage. I won’t give too much more away other than the fact that we go back and forth between the dark conflict of our divides through a very emotional dance, to the influential innocence and light of a child’s eyes. Every age and race moves us through our story of Unity! Filming it was beyond humbling. The cast and crew were so talented and such a joy to work with and as many echoed, it was the best shoot that they had worked on. When people come together to create and spread an emotional mission like this, choosing unity in love, especially during a time like this, is so much bigger than us…it binds us together with faith and hope. You are also an actress. What has been the role that you have portrayed that has been the most similar to your personality and why? Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. Millie is a very extroverted, loud, goofy, driven, romantic and convicted woman with big dreams and big goals. Every time that I walked on stage, I felt at home in her shoes...belting her passionate “modern voice” and tap dancing with flare. What is the one role that you'd love to portray, and haven't, and why? I would absolutely love to portray the role of Fanny Brice in “Funny Girl.” Not only is it one of the most iconic shows but the role of Fanny is something I would be honored to play and “Rain on My Parade” is still one of my go to auditions songs till this day! What other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? My hope is always to simply live in my gifting, to create with purpose and to love despite what others think. As artists, we are born to create and each one of us has a unique voice within our gifts. I believe that when we are true to that voice and not to what we think others want that voice to be, then we will be heard. I have and will always continue to influence others to be an advocate of change. I am extremely passionate about fighting against Slavery of any kind and have therefore partnered with the International Justice Mission to stop International Slavery. I encourage everyone to become a freedom partner — visit ijm.org for more information on how to be an advocate for change. Who are your favorite musicians and why? Alessia Cara and Demi Lovato. They have both inspired me and have been such a big part of why I got into the music industry. Both of these artists have done an amazing job at not only inspiring this generation but future generations who will continue to listen to their music years from now. The example they set, regardless of what people think, is to be true to my lyrics and in doing so I will be true to myself, despite the temptations of compromise in the industry. How would you describe your fashion style? Not sure you have enough real estate for my love of fashion! I love all aspects of fashion so my looks vary depending on the event, season, time of day and mood I'm in. Not going to lie, it's kind of nice being 5’4" because when I wear heels I'm a good 5’6" 5’7"…and all I own are heels so it works out. Typically you'll catch me in skirts, dresses, crop tops or jeans with my hair makeup and nails done…but when it's winter you better believe I'm wearing oversized everything, sweats and beanies! Who are some of your favorite actors/actresses? Meryl Streep, Eddie Redmayne and Benedict Cumberbatch. They are all chameleons, so incredibly committed and honest to every role they play regardless of the genre. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into music/acting? Be in it for a bigger purpose than yourself. Have a cause and create your voice, whatever it may be for. I’ve heard countless people say I “want to be famous” or “I can’t wait to have fame” and to me that’s completely misunderstanding the whole point of going into the arts. I’ve always wanted to be an influence and create change in the way I knew how. So having a purpose is big for me and I really hope that whoever is reading this really thinks again why they’re going into this industry. Go into it for a bigger purpose than receiving validation from others and stay true to yourself always! Who would be your dream collaboration either in the booth or on screen and why? I would absolutely love to collaborate with Maroon 5 or Bruno Mars. Maroon 5 has been my favorite band for as long as I can remember and I know almost every lyric to every one of their songs. Bruno Mars on the other hand I think is incredible in every way. Not only did he write my favorite song “Marry You” but I believe writing and singing with him would be an absolute dream! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I’m a bit of a neat freak! My friends' parents love when I come over because I often clean their rooms. My closet is color coordinated and my drawers would easily pass a military inspection. My friends love to flip my room when I am not around just to watch me in panic try to clean it up again. My dad will go into my closet and move one shirt around just to hear me yell…”DAAAAD!” Have you ever been bullied? I am a huge advocate of seeking justice and bullying of any kind is simply unacceptable. That said, I have not been on the receiving end of bullying but have witnessed friends who have and have always stepped in to help resolve or heal the brokenness. I have however had to deal with hatred and unjust actions from friends, co-workers, strangers and people online. Being on the receiving end of unkind behavior and the fall out feeling of being unworthy or invisible is not something I would wish on anyone. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Stay strong and shut out the noise. Pause and remember that hurt people hurt people and insecurity is the root of the majority of hatred and bullying that happens. Keep reminding yourself daily of these things because you are worth it and no one is more worthy than anyone else. We are all equals and if someone makes you feel any less than that take action. Stand up for yourself and if physical violence has taken place go get help so that you can remain safe and out of the reach of these individuals. If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell her to remember about the person that you are today and what would you tell her that you hope she strives for in the future? In the -next year and a half I want my 21-year old self to be everything that I am now, stand for now, strive for now, and live for now but improved and better! I am grateful for what I have been blessed with and am in a very good place in my life. That said, life is not a destination, it is a journey and therefore I pray that with every year I take stock in the things that I can improve on because growth and learning is something that is paramount to living a joyful and purposeful life.

What are five things that you can't live without? Family, friends, food, water and happiness! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Always keep trying and never give up! What's your favorite color? Lavender - it was my great grandmother's favorite color and it reminds me of her. What is your favorite movie? I love so many movies, but the Pitch Perfect series films are my absolute favorite. What is your favorite TV show? The Office! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have 3 awesome dogs - Lola who is a Chihuahua Shitzu mix, Luciano is a painted Chihuahua and Leo is a Maltese Yorkie. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Paris! I was very lucky to perform at the 2015 French All Star Game in Paris and we went to Disneyland Paris on New Year's Eve. It is such a magical city. What is your favorite food? Ramen! My Dad's mom was from Okinawa and I love all Japanese food. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Michelle Obama. She is such an incredible human and a great mother. I would love to learn how she raised 2 amazing girls during her time in the White House. What made you want to start acting? I did my first musical in third grade and then started community theatre camps. I love performing and being on stage, but my first time on a set I knew I had found where I belonged. I love the energy of production and the entire process! What is the most difficult thing about being an actress? This is such a competitive industry and there are so many talented people. The hardest thing is staying persistent and never giving up! You are also a singer. What made you want to become a musician as well? I started singing through musical theatre and have continued to expand my singing career! I got to record a cover song this summer and as nervous as I was, I was really excited by the outcome. Where do you find inspiration for your music? How would you describe your sound? I honestly just hear a song and think, "That might be fun to sing." My sound is certainly powerful and a little more earthy. In addition to acting and singing, you are also a host. Tell us how you started hosting? My first hosting job was as the Kid Host for the Charlotte Hornets. I have been going to NBA games my whole life thanks to my Dad's career and it was so fun to be on the court with the other hosts! Then through acting, I had the opportunity to audition for the NASCAR on NBC Kid reporter piece that was filmed in my hometown. Reporting and hosting both stretch me as an entertainer because there is a lot of improv! Who has been your favorite interview and why? I honestly cannot pick a single favorite. I loved interviewing Jimmie Johnson because my Mom used to work with him and he hasn't seen me in several years. But Clint Boywer always keeps me on my toes and is hysterical. He just announced his retirement and I am so excited that he is joining FOX as a commentator. That will be fun to watch, for sure! In addition to all that you are doing, what other things are you passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why you feel that it is important? I am very passionate about social justice and equality. I truly feel that everyone should be treated equally and that no one person should be above another due to their gender, sexuality or race. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Currently, Zendaya. Her career is so impressive and I love that she was on a Nickelodeon sitcom and has done so much in a short time. My dream is to be on Nickelodeon and I hope to meet Zendaya some day to get advice. I also think she would be an amazing friend! How would you describe your fashion style? I am actually in a fashion re-styling moment right now. With the events of this past year, I found myself being drawn to a grunge style for a while. But my best friend is an amazing stylist in the making and we are working on a new look so stay tuned! Who are some of your favorite actors/musicians that you have worked with? Working with Kristen Chenoweth was truly incredible. As a musical theatre person, it was a bucket list item for me and I am so grateful to Hallmark for casting me to work with her. She is so incredibly kind, passionate and talented. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into entertainment? I love this question and try to answer the same way each time. My biggest advice is to be a student of the industry. Don’t ever miss an opportunity to learn from a person or an experience. Even when you are just starting, get on the casting sites so that you can get experience as an extra or background cast member. Once you get some experience, build a great team. Your agent and managers are a huge part of your future success and you have to have people who believe in you 100%. And be patient and respectful. Remember that out of 100 auditions, you may only get one look. But that one look could change your path. And always respect the process and the people. Everyone involved in a TV or film project is there to do a job, including you. If you are not prepared or if you are late, you affect every other element of production. Who would be your dream collaboration and why? The Rock and Millie Bobby Brown. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I LOVE PIE! All kinds, but especially apple pie with ice cream. Have you ever been bullied? Yes, unfortunately. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Do NOT suffer in silence. Talk to an adult and get their help! If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell her to remember about the person that she is and what would you tell her to strive for in the future? Enjoy every moment and every experience! You are a hard worker who sometimes gets stressed out for no reason. Just take a deep breath and be thankful for the amazing life you live!

"Enjoy every moment to the fullest. Be silly and laugh. Try not to take things to seriously. And focus on family."
What are five things that you can't live without? My stuffed dog named “Pepe” that I’ve had since I was a baby. My family, the ocean, my phone and nachos! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Choose Kind. It’s pretty simple but just be a nice human! What's your favorite color? Silver What is your favorite movie? I have a few. Meet the Fockers is my go to! I literally laugh out loud every time I watch it. I also really loved the movie Lion, and also Forrest Gump. What is your favorite TV show? Definitely Friends! Without a doubt! Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I do! I have 2 dogs and one in Heaven. I have a Chihuahua named Roxy, and after my lifelong companion Cabo passed away, we adopted a puppy named Zuma. He’s a rescue so we aren’t sure what breed he is but he’s really cute and loving! What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Definitely Mexico. I’ve been going to Cabo San Lucas since I was a baby. It’s so beautiful and the people are amazing and the food is my favorite! What is your favorite food? Mexican! I love enchiladas and tacos, nachos, and guacamole! But, I could never pass up a burger from In & Out! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Jennifer Aniston! I think she is so funny and a beautiful human being! She is my favorite actress and I could spend hours asking her questions about friends. But also, I want to know about her acting journey and her life and just everything about her. What made you want to start acting? I used to watch the movie “Cars” when I was like 2. I memorized the entire movie and I would act out the scenes in my mirror. I could talk at a really young age and I told my mommy I wanted to be on TV. What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? Definitely the rejection. It’s hard to know you spent hours or days on a role and then not get the part and never even know why. But learning how to play different roles make it’s all worth it. How do you prepare for auditions? I read the script a few times. Then I write notes in the side of my lines. Like the emotions or a feeling I had when I first read it. Then I practice in my mirror. After I know the lines I will do the scene with one of my parents which is always funny...and then I just go for it. How do you handle rejections? Most of the time I just move on to the next role. There were a few things I’ve been pinned for and ultimately didn’t book and that was hard, especially if it was role I really wanted. But you can’t let it get you down . Out of all of the characters that you have portrayed, which one is most similar to your real personality and why? Probably Gus in Charming. He was kind of dorky but funny and a bit of a wise guy. And he was an optimist. The way he viewed life, having a happy ending. That’s how I hope things go in life! What has been your favorite moment on set? I filmed a scene in Last Dream Before Sunset where my on screen mom, (Marian Frizelle), and I were eating Mac n Cheese. I was starving, so I was really eating it, and we had to make a whole bunch more! Then we just sort of improved and starting flinging it at each other! Like in the face and all over the place. It was really funny and messy! In addition to acting, what other things are you passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is important? I have a lot of charities that I’m involved with such as “Childhood Cancer Awareness,” No Kid Hungry, the Lupus foundation in honor of my late grandmom, and I’m advocate against bullying. I also work with Moda Con Causa in Mexico to help needy children and I’m a part of the Kindness campaign.I think the most important thing you can do if you have even a tiny bit of fame, is to use your voice for something good. If I can help just one person to feel better or be happier or have a warm meal then it’s worth it Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Jennifer Aniston. She is hysterical. Her comedic timing is genius, but yet she has such a range. Her ability to go from a role like Rachel Green to Alex Levy and just absolutely glue me to the TV is awesome. I also really admire Jacob Trembley as a young actor, I think he is brilliant! How would you describe your fashion style? Vintage tees meets Hugo Boss with a touch of punk. I love to wear blazers and top designers, but I usually pair them with a surf tee and some Air Jordans. Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? Obviously Tom Albanese who played opposite me in Charming. He was super fun to act with and now he directs so I’m always working with him. I loved being on set with Abigail Zoe Lewis in Only a Movie she played my on screen sister! We had a blast filming and we are still really good friends. I also loved working with Rhett Wellington in Countless Sheep. It was a tough scene to film since I had to drown in the ocean and it was freezing cold that day, but he was so professional, supportive and talented! I learned so much from him! That’s an experience I’ll never forget. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? Don’t do it. Lol just kidding. I would say that they have to have really thick skin, work really hard and follow their dreams. I think a lot comes down to having the right team that supports you and believes in you 100%. It takes a lot to get started and even more to be able to stick it out, but if you love something don’t let anything stand in your way! Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? Well, I think if I said Jennifer Aniston again you guys might think I'm crazy. I actually would love to do like a coming of age movie with some of my fellow tween actors and I'm fascinated by the team behind Greener Grass, Dawn Luebee and Jocelyn DeBore. I met them at the Cleveland Film Festival and they had such a unique way of telling a story. I would love to see what they could do with a really interesting film with strong young teen actors. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? That I really love theater. I would love to be in a play on Broadway. I love to sing but I mostly keep that to myself. Have you ever been bullied? Yes, I have. At my old school I was bullied a lot. Kids made fun of me for being an actor, other kids teased me in music class because my voice was high saying I sang like a girl. There was a group of kids that made my daily life at school very hard and unfortunately the teachers didn’t do much to help. But I moved on and found a better environment and have a solid group of friends now that are kind and share the same values as me What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? I think it’s important to try to ignore the bully, stay calm and walk away. Try to find other friends to be around so you don’t feel alone and tell an adult right away. Don’t keep the situation a secret. Bullies get their joys from making people feel bad so if you take that away from them, they give up. But it does leave a lasting impression and is very hurtful while it’s happening. If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell him to remember about the person that you are today and what advice would you give him for the future? Enjoy every moment to the fullest. Be silly and laugh. Try not to take things to seriously. And focus on family. I wish I had spent more time with my grandmom before she passed away. So to my 21-year-old self, I hope you are still close with your mom and dad and enjoying the little moments in life. And definitely I hope you have a whole bunch of rescue dogs!

What are five things that you can't live without? I can’t live without my Nintendo Switch, my bike, family, friends, TikTok! What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? NEVER GIVE UP, even when things look rough, keep hanging on. What's your favorite color? My favorite color has always been and will always be green. What is your favorite movie? My favorite movie has to be The Pursuit of Happiness because it shows how you can start with nothing and turn that into everything! What is your favorite TV show? All American Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have a pet turtle and his name is Yertle. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? My favorite place I have traveled to without a doubt is NYC, it has so many cool attractions and one of my favorites is the Nintendo store! What is your favorite food? Pizza or wings! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? If I could have dinner with anyone in the world it would have to the first Black President, Barack Obama because he is an amazing inspiration for me and millions of other Black men and boys around the globe. What made you want to start acting? Growing up I always enjoyed participating in theater and school plays. I discovered my passion for acting by simply watching how people responded to my presence. For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to entertain and whatever room I went in, I seem to get a lot of attention. Back then, I was just simply dancing or telling jokes - but that’s how it all started. I discovered I had a special way with people, I liked them, and they liked me back! At that time, I had no idea that acting could be a career. Things got a little more formal in 2017 when I began taking acting classes in my former home town of West Chester, Ohio. That led to me participating in a talent showcase which sparked interest from both a talent agent and manager from Los Angeles. What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? At this stage, the most difficult part about being an actor is finding balance with being a kid, a full-time student, and working. Sometimes I struggle with keeping my priorities in order because for this 15-year-old, playing video games is just as important if not more important than school work. How do you prepare for auditions? I find out as much as I can about the project and the specific character I’m auditioning for. Next, I tackle the “Memorization Beast”. I read the lines over and over so I know them like the back of my hand! If I’m lucky I have more than one day to work on the lines, leaving a day to bring life into the character by putting my special spin on how I think the character should be portrayed. When all this is happening, I throw my phone under the bed to minimize all distractions. How do you handle rejections? For life in general I try not to ever take rejection personally. With respect to acting, when I leave a casting office I do my very best to move forward quickly if I don’t hear back from casting, I just tell myself that role wasn’t for me, I will get the next one! If I allow myself to think about the rejections, I may stop enjoying or trusting the process and I never want to find myself in that position. My response is always…on to the next. For your role in the Netflix show, Family Reunion, tell us about your character. How similar and different is he to your real personality? I absolutely relate to Elvis which is why I love playing this character. He is fun-loving, loves the Lord and extremely carefree - just like me! Elvis is very active in his church and loves vacation bible school. Elvis is a well-mannered teen with a big loving heart, who is always up for a good time! He is a little timid at times especially when it comes to breaking the rules. Elvis is also an entrepreneur and I would like to consider myself one as well. I tried to corner the market on fidget spinners once at school! One of the biggest differences between myself and Elvis is his love for Jade keeps him for seeing straight, he’s a sucker for love but I am in no rush to find my true love. In addition to acting, what other industry pathways are you interested in? In addition to acting, I certainly would like to do some writing and producing. I have so many great ideas I would love to bring to the screen. In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I have always been very passionate about volunteer work, mainly because my entire life I have watched both of my parents work in our church and community. Volunteering with Best Buddies International and Boys & Girls Club of America bring me great delight as often as my schedule permits. I enjoy volunteering with the Boys and Girls Club because it gives me an opportunity to be with other kids where I can relax and just have fun. We play basketball, board games and sometimes just sit and joke around. If your readers are not familiar with Best Buddies, it is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). There are several different volunteer programs and I volunteer with the Friendship Programs, these programs build one-to-one friendships between people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), offering social interactions while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. Through their participation, people with IDD form meaningful connections with their peers, gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many other individuals enjoy. If you are interested in learning more or looking to get involved with Best Buddies, please visit them here and click on take action and volunteer, donate, fundraise and advocate today. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? My favorite actress is definitely Mrs. Loretta Devine. Mrs. Loretta is a magnificent actress and I am very blessed that I have been able to work beside her and learn from her. She has the biggest heart and treats everyone with love and respect. Both of my grandmothers are deceased and she is definitely like a grandma to me in real life! How would you describe your fashion style? My favorite fashion style would have to be whatever is clean or at the top of my drawer lol! However, I have always loved to wear suit jackets and tuxedos for special occasions! Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? All American is one of my favorites shows and I really enjoyed having the opportunity to work with Jalyn Hall who plays Dillon James on All American, he is a really cool kid. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? The best advice I can give to someone who wants to break into acting is to first get involved in the Arts in your community. Find everything you can locally and try it out! I started by doing plays at school and around my town. I was also a 3-year member of the Cincinnati Boy Choir. After participating locally for a few years, I told my mom I was interested in being an actor, so I started taking local acting classes to get training. Each summer I would ask my mom if I could do acting camps around Ohio and that helped a ton! I will never forget the summer I participated in The Young Americans Performing Arts Experience. It was the summer that the world of music, dance, and performance combined started to make sense for me. This experience allowed me to see the Arts thru a different lens. I was challenged every day and I pushed myself to show up and showcase my talents which improved my self-confidence and self-esteem. Another huge piece of advice I have is to never give up because your blessing is probably right around the corner and that goes for all aspects of life! Dream and dream big, remember dreams don’t have expiration dates. Lastly, be patient with yourself, be prepared to work hard and trust the process. Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? If I could collaborate with anyone, it would have to be Will Smith, he’s the coolest guy ever and one of my inspirations! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? Believe it or not with my loud outgoing personality, I have a serious shy side, especially off camera. Have you ever been bullied? Unfortunately, I have been bullied before. It’s still painful to talk about, it was not fun or funny. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? The best advice I can give to kids that are suffering from bullying is keep your head up, that it gets better! Nothing is permanent and this is just one of many phases in life and there is a light at the end of the tunnel! If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell him to remember about the person that you are today and what would you tell him that you hope he strives for in the future? If I could talk to my 21-year-old self, I would remind him to never forget where he came from and that the people who were there before the acting are his TRUE friends. I would tell him to hang on to those friends for dear life and never let them go! I would remind him to keep God at the center of every decision he makes and to always be grateful for what he has. I hope my future self never loses sight of my goals and always continue to work hard at all things no matter how many hurtles or road blocks he may face.

Check out her interview and don’t forget to follow her on Instagram. You don't want to miss a minute of this amazing journey!
What are five things that you can't live without? Five things I can’t live without would be Water, my phone, money, diary and calendar. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? Everything happens for a reason, just move on, trust God and keep doing what you love. What's your favorite color? Purple What is your favorite movie? There are so many great movies out there, but my favorite would be Thirteen (2003) followed by Stand By Me (1986) and High Noon (1952). What is your favorite TV show? Skins (2007-2013) Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have 2 mixed breed cats named Upton and Ulysses, but they respond to "Kitty" which my sister and I call them. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? The Philippines. What is your favorite food? I like vegan chili but not too spicy. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? Marilyn Monroe because I feel like she was misunderstood and wanted to be taken seriously as an actress. I feel like she was ahead of her time and I would want to talk to her about views on the world and the film industry. What made you want to start modeling? I remember wanting to start modeling when I was 12 and I would practice walking the runway with my twin sister in our hallway. I didn't really get into it until I was 15, because I was busy with ballet school. I have always liked the idea of wearing clothes that no one has yet seen before and posing in front of the camera as a job. My mother and I would watch the annual Miss Universe beauty pageant and just seeing how empowered and beautiful the candidates were made me want to be just like that. What is the most difficult thing about being an up-and-coming model? There are lots of things to stay on top of as a model because a lot like being an actor, you have to be at your best and look your best at all times. You want to be prepared and you never know who could be out there. Except for when you're at home on your couch watching TV. Since the age of 12 I've struggled with acne, so for me it would be keeping my skin clear. How do you see the modeling industry changing? This year because of the Coronavirus pandemic, there are less or no in person fashion shows happening. Right now if there are they would be taking place either outdoors or virtually. Photographers are also doing virtual photoshoots through zoom or other FaceTiming platforms. I am also now seeing more inclusion of unique looking individuals of different heights and sizes than I used to before. If you could remake the industry, what is the one thing that you'd love to see happen? If I could remake the modeling industry one thing I would love to see happen is the normalization of 'normal bodies'. Meaning not editing a model's body to look differently than they already look like in a photo. For example, smoothing out a Black girl's 4C hair or erasing stretch marks or cellulite. I feel like that has contributed to people believing what's ugly and what's not when it comes to a person's body or certain expectations for models when’s it comes to finding work. You are also an activist. Tell us about your activism. I’m just a girl who is vocal about issues that are hurting our world today like racism and inequality. I try to educate myself as much as I can and do my part in making change. Part of that is using my platform online to spread awareness and information on what others can do to help. What inspires your voice in regards to social change? Watching other young people leading the way to social change because if they can do it, I can to. I believe there can be great impact and change when we all come together and do our part. Being the change you want to see in the world. In addition to modeling/activism, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? In addition to modeling/activism, I am most passionate about acting. I love how you can portray other characters and see the world in their point of view. Acting has made me feel all types of emotions and has made me the person I am today. With acting comes sharing stories in which people can learn from and making the audience relate, connect or feel inspired. I am also passionate about volunteering/donating food and other supplies to kids in need in the Philippines. My mother is from there and seeing some of the children’s circumstances there, make me feel grateful and blessed for all that I have. In August of 2019, I traveled to the Philippines and handed out food and 200 goodie bags at a school in the province to all of the students. It felt good to give back. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? My favorite actress is Natalie Portman because she kept me thinking about the character and story in the thriller film Black Swan (2010). She trained as a ballet dancer for a year in preparation for her role when she wasn’t really sure if she was gonna get to act in it, keeping her faith. She was not afraid to further her education at Harvard when she was already a successful young star, with the possibility of it ruining her career. She is also an activist using her platform on Instagram and even speaking out about issues at award shows. How would you describe your fashion style? Colorful, Classy, Old School Who are some of your favorite designers that you would like to work with? I don’t have a favorite designer but I feel like it would be fun to work with a luxury fashion brand like Swarovski jewelry or Zara. I like how simple but bold Zara’s clothes can be at the same time. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into modeling? Educate yourself on industry fact v.s. fiction and don’t be afraid to have your own style. What is your advice for kids who want to speak up and take a stand and follow in your footsteps as activists? Always fact check something before you share it and don’t use Social Media as your only source of information! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I used to have an obsession with horses, but never got to ride them because I live in Manhattan and never found the time. Have you ever been bullied? Yes, I have been bullied mainly about my appearance or because I come off as vulnerable sometimes. I believe that vulnerability can be a powerful thing but people can take advantage especially if your a nice person or they know your strengths and weaknesses. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? My advice is that you should talk to someone about it so they can be confronted or confront the person yourself by calling them out when it happens. Just know, that you are allowed to leave any situation that makes you feel uncomfortable. If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell her to remember about the person that you are today and what would you tell her that you hope she strives for in the future? I would remind her of the experiences I’ve gone through and how far I have come so as to not give up with whatever my 21-year-old self could be struggling with. I would tell her that I hope she strives to give back to her family and to be on her electronic devices less.

What are five things that you can't live without? My laptop, my phone, my computer, my friends, and my family. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, it's to create something that will. - Monty Oum What's your favorite color? Black What is your favorite movie? Star Wars What is your favorite TV show? Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Two dogs, one named Anakin Skywalker and one named Malibu. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Hands down Washington D.C., it was just a fun and interesting experience. What is your favorite food? Cheeseburgers, for better or worse. If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? George Lucas, just to be able to pick his brain about his process and ideas. What made you want to start acting? Seeing Star Wars for the first time as a young kid, and seeing tons of other 80s movies, and just wanting to be on that screen. What is the most difficult thing about being an actor? Knowing how to compromise with the director and your vision of the character, and knowing when to stand your ground and when to conform. You are also a producer/director. What is your favorite genre of film to work with and why? It's probably Sci-Fi just because it is so expansive and amazing, and can lead to so many creative ideas. What would be your ultimate project to direct? A Star Wars movie or just the opportunity to make a good adaptation of an anime. Out of all of the characters that you have portrayed, which is the most similar to your real personality and why? I got the opportunity to play Stephen King in a scene from a biopic script a teacher brought in, and we shot the whole thing, and I really enjoyed it. I played him in a few other people's scenes, and the vulnerability and passion in it was really similar to how I feel a lot of the time. What is the one character that you have portrayed which is the most different from your real personality and why? I portrayed a character in my friend Ethan Munoz's film The Mother******* Kangaroo, where I played this kind of dim-witted and dirty and all around bad person named Troy. That's gotta be the most different from me. In addition to acting, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I love volunteering at dog shelters and at other animal shelters. I just have always had a connection with animals, and I think it's important to help care for them, because they deserve as much love and care as we give to each other. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Ryan Gosling. He has a really good range, is in two of my favorite films (Blade Runner 2049 and La La Land), and is just amazing in everything. How would you describe your fashion style? Black, always wearing jeans, and always having some kind of graphic tea and hat on. Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? Jonathan Winters, hands down. He was amazing to work with. I was lucky enough to be able to work with him on one of his last films. He was an amazing person and an equally amazing and funny actor. What advice would you give other kids that want to break into the entertainment industry? Don't stress or worry about how long it takes to make it. Do your best, work hard, and don't leave an audition wondering if they liked you or if you did well. Most of the auditions I booked, I thought I did horrible, and then got the job. Just walk away believing you did the best you could do and are proud of it no matter what. Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? Getting directed by George Lucas, or having the opportunity to work with Mark Hamill or Ryan Gosling would be a dream. They are two actors I love that inspired me in two different times of my life. What is one thing that nobody knows about you? I actually really love bowling, it is one of my favorite pastimes. I bowl in a league once a week and have been close to a perfect game about 4 times. Have you ever been bullied? I spent a lot of time on the internet as a kid and it did happen a lot. I was and still am a nerd, but weren't around a lot of people who shared that same lifestyle. It wasn't fun, and could be rough, but it helped make me who I am today. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Don't conform to what they want you to be or what you believe they want you to be. It can seem bad to say 'just put up with it, but you'll feel better having stayed true to who you are and get stronger as a person, than if you change just because some people discouraged you from being yourself. No one knows you better than you and no one deserves to tell you that you're wrong or imperfect. If you could talk to your 15-year-old self, what would you tell him to remember about the person that he is and what would you tell him to strive for in the future? I would tell him to stay strong and work through it. That high school was rough, but everything after would be some of the best years of his life. I would tell him to remember to be kind, caring, and passionate, and not to give up on his dreams.
No one knows you better than you and no one deserves to tell you that you're wrong or imperfect.

What are five things that you can't live without? Oh! Five things that I couldn’t live without would by my family, music, books, Netflix, friends, and traveling. Just five? What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? My motto for life is to spread love and happiness to everyone. What's your favorite color? I don’t have a favorite color! I’m one of those people who’s favorite color changes every day! What is your favorite movie? Probably Mamma Mia, the movie! That is always the movie I go back and watch whenever I need a pick me up! What is your favorite TV show? Right now my favorite show is probably Grey’s Anatomy or America’s Next Top Model. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? Yes, I have 2 and a half dogs. My sister has a dog that I will always call my own named Biscuit and he’s a Great Pyrenees mix. I have my beautiful Bella, who is a Lab Rottweiler mix, and my little man, Sneakers, who is a mini Yorkie. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? Probably Costa Rica! Although, I’ve always wanted to travel around Europe! What is your favorite food? Pizza. I’m a New Yorker at heart, so I will always LOVE pizza! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, I would want to have dinner with Harry Styles. He comes off as such a bright and amazing person and I really would love to meet him! What made you want to start singing? So we have this running joke in my family that I was singing before I was talking, and it really is true. I have always loved singing, and I actually got started in an acting workshop. We could either make an acting video or a music video, and out of the blue I picked singing. So they brought in someone to help me record my vocals in a bathroom! In walked in this amazing woman, Brielle Pogue, who later became my vocal coach! It all started when she told me, “You can sing, but you need to learn how to sing.” What is the most difficult thing about being a musician? The most difficult thing for me is confidence. I care so much about loving other people, but I am like any other teenage girl and I have insecurities about myself. When your a musician you almost always have to be on brand and I struggle always doing that. You are also a songwriter, where do you find inspiration for your music? Okay, so I need to let you know, first of all, I am a HUGE book nerd! So while I take stories from my own life, I often write about whatever book I’m reading. What do you hope people take away from your music? I hope people take away that there is someone there for them. They are not alone in any of the emotions they are feeling, and I hope they feel love and connection from my music. You have a new project, “Off Guard,” tell us about this project? Yes! So I released "Off Guard" on August 12th and it is going pretty well! The song was very hard for me and my family because it was based on the tragic passing of my uncle this past New Years. The song really helped me process my emotions, and I hope it helps others who are going through similar emotions. In one word, how would you describe your sound? Emotional. In addition to music, what other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is important? While I’ve been performing I have performed for many different charities, but I’m actively trying to get involved with suicide prevention and living with suicide. It’s very close to my heart and it’s so prevalent for our generation, my hope is to partner with a charity. Separately, I’ve gone and performed at the Children’s Hospital in Dallas, the Ronald McDonald House, and the annual Sambuca fundraising event in Dallas. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? Oooh my favorite actress would probably be Jennifer Aniston! I am in LOVE with Friends, and I have watched every season maybe ten times! My favorite actor would probably be Adam Sandler, I just love his sense of humor! How would you describe your fashion style? I honestly have a little trouble with fashion, I change my fashion style maybe once a week! My main goal, though, when dressing is to keep it fun and fashionable but also young, I mean I’m only 15! Who are some of your favorite musicians that you have worked with? Oh that’s such a hard question! I’ve met sooo many amazing musicians while I’ve been performing and they are all amazing. To name a few, Neil Swanson, Ben Fisher, J Scott, Christopher Tiner, and @bosslifefav they are all amazing!! I’m so happy that I’ve gotten to meet them and so many more amazing musicians!! What advice would you give other kids that want to break into music? I would tell other kids that it’s hard work, and you have to have focus on your artistry, as early as you can. Because the more that you know about who you are as an artist the faster you grow to who and what your music will be! Also make sure to be the first you, don’t try to be someone else! Who would be your dream duet and why? My dream duet would probably be with Dermot Kennedy, he’s this amazing Singer and I love his music! Also I’m a lyric person and his lyrics are AMAZING!! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? One thing that no one knows about me is that I’m a total movie fanatic! Me and my mom go to our local movie theater so much they know us by name and have our orders memorized!! Have you ever been bullied? Yes, I’ve been bullied, but not terribly. I mean, I always got picked on a bit for my glasses and I dressed kinda differently as a kid, so I got picked on often. People would call me names and I was not the kinda person to take that and go down easily. The worst thing that I can remember anyone doing to me was there was this girl who in my math class would yank on my hair, continuously, until I did her math homework for her. It got me down for a really long time, but I learned that those people don’t mean anything to me. They could pick on me all they want, but I wouldn’t let their punches hit! I had things that I wanted to do with my life, I had plans...they weren’t apart of those plans. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Don’t let them get to you. You may feel alone right now, but sooner or later you will meet people who understand you. I have these three amazing friends, who I never expected I would meet, and they showed up exactly when I needed them, not sooner or later. Also, to those people who are getting bullied, while you wait I’m always here, trying to spread some love and happiness, you are not alone! If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell her to remember about the person that you are today and what would you tell her that you hope she strives for in the future? I would tell my 21-year-old self that I hope she’s happy with her life. I hope she’s continued on with our passion and she’s made strives that I couldn’t even dream of. That she has found who she is, and that she remembers me fondly and has no regrets.

Amber Krystal: The Beauty Coach
Narcissistic Parents: The Psychological Effects on Their Children In a healthy, functional family, children are encouraged to be loving, close to each other, take responsibility for difficulties as they occur and take steps to try and resolve challenges constructively. Narcissistic parents do and teach the opposite. They teach their children to control or be controlled, don’t take responsibility for your actions and resolve difficult situations with abuse. Narcissistic Parenting is used as a means for that parent to achieve his or her unfulfilled needs, dreams, goals and desires which often leads back to their own childhood. They tend to be self-absorbed and equip their children with very few, (to no), life skills, no emotional coping skills, and no common sense skills. They literally at times paralyze and damage their own children. Narcissistic Personality Disorder has an exaggerated sense of self-worth, they lack empathy and are hyper- sensitive to the evaluation of others, they actually believe that they have the inalienable right to receive special consideration and that their desires is justification for possessing whatever they want. This behavior stems from a level of brokenness, a traumatic incident or severe low self-esteem. Narcissistic parents are broken to the point they can’t develop the ability to empathize with others and never learn to love functionally. They literally see their children as a possession who they can use to further their own self interests. Narcissistic parents feed their own ego through the achievements of their children, though in some instances unbeknownst to them they seek out ways to live threw their children’s life. If you know anyone who is dealing with narcissism, this is a severe mental illness that should be taken very seriously. Encourage to seek professional counsel.

Exercise is Beauty Therapy. I’m often asked about my beauty routine. Beautiful is a feeling that is cultivated. When I focus my attention to tending to my physical body and attitude, my skin looks better, I have more energy, and I am calmer. My secret, is to fall in love with taking care of yourself. Drink plenty of H2O, take apple cider vinegar daily – my choice – Goli Gummies, destress, be thankful, and most importantly, exercise! It floods the body with good feelings while boosting your brain energy. So exercise! Most of us exercise out of fear. We fear gaining weight or just not being good enough. So, our approach to exercise becomes a form of punishment instead of an act of love. What if you looked at exercise as a gift of beauty to yourself? A way to generate beautiful thoughts, feelings and results? I’d like to introduce you to Hi Point (e) and their unique method of exercising. The method is used by celebrities, models alike from NY to LA. Tone up without bulking up, lift your booty and get those perky buns, sculpt a beautiful physique, improve your posture and poise, increase flexibility and get that surfer six pack. Meet the workout Squad from Hi Point (e) - Broadway’s – Maya Jade and Prima Ballerina – Alessandra Tehya-Rose, both of whom are certified Pilates instructors. These girls are amazing! They have discovered “that you don’t need to spend hours working out, just a few focused minutes moving the right way!” This works for me… Our “Hi Pointe (e) method merges strength training of a professional dancer and length inspiration from an Olympic Rhythmic gymnast mentor, with the foundation of Pilates.” Each workout is geared to lengthen and strengthen while making you more flexible. The great thing about this online zoom program is that you can do it all from the comfort of your home! All classes are virtual and personalized. You can find Hi Point (e) on Instagram or book a class directly here. It is a beautiful day to go after your dreams - in just two weeks you’ll feel it, in four weeks you’ll see it and in eight weeks you’ll hear it! Just Saying! It’s Ah-mazing! What are five things that you can't live without? The five things I can't live without are: my dogs, I have 3 black pugs that I love so much, my phone, my computer, for video games, my boyfriend, He is one of my best friends, my family, they are so supportive of me. What's your life's motto or advice that you live by? I try to always remember the importance of making memories with those you love because one day you may not have them with you and those memories are good to look back on. What's your favorite color? Pastel Pink...all pastels but Pink is my favorite right now! What is your favorite movie? I really love Who Framed Roger Rabbit? but because I love horror, I also have to say The Shinning or Silence of the Lambs. What is your favorite TV show? Bob's Burgers, I love the comedy style and Kristen Schaal is one of my favorite actresses. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what's their name? I have 3 black pug dogs. Beemo is 8 years old and named after BMO in Adventure Time, Daisy who is 3 years old, and Pumpkin named because my mom is obsessed with Halloween. What is your favorite place that you've traveled to? My favorite place that I have traveled to is Japan, more specifically, Tokyo. I love all the shopping, the futuristic buildings, and the food! Everything is so pretty in Japan and then blend of old and new is just so cool. What is your favorite food? My favorite food is my Grandma's spaghetti, it's made with so much love! If you could have dinner with anyone in the world, who would it be with and why? I would want to have dinner with Tony Baxter. He was one of the most prominent Disney Imagineers. I want to go into theme park design and he is such an inspiration! What made you want to start acting? I really enjoyed doing theater, any kind of performing really and then we met someone that had an agent and it just happened from there! What is the most difficult thing about being an actress? The rejection. It's so hard to put so much of yourself into an audition and then not get the part. How do you prepare for auditions? I start by reading as much of the script as I can and memorize the lines. Then I go in and try to find where I can make some character choices to help flush out the character. You have been in some amazing shows, tell us how similar and different is have the characters been to your real personality? My character Emma in True Blood was like me in that she was very curious, matter of fact and outgoing and growing up I had those traits as well. She was also kidnapped several times and would be in tense situations crying, that was more of a stretch for me! In New Girl, Crystal was very over the top with her impressions, which is something I would do at home with my family to make them laugh. What has been your favorite moment on the set? On True Blood I got to work with a lot of animals dogs, owls, bunnies, horses and even real wolves! I LOVED working with the bunnies! I also loved getting into the crazy make up for my role as a demon girl in my horror film Don't Sleep! It was a crazy process with air brushing, fake teeth, and even contacts. In addition to being an actress, you are also a Berry Blogger. Tell us more about this. Being a Berry Blogger has allowed me to go behind the scenes with one of my favorite places in the whole world, Knotts Berry Farm! I focus on bringing news to park goers about upcoming events going on in the park. I have been doing it for 3 years now, and I love it!! What other things are you are passionate about? (charity work, volunteering, etc.) Can you tell us about this work and why do you feel that it is it important? I have worked with FREE2LUV, Heal the Bay, as well as a few other charities. I find charity work to be extremely important, since it can take you out of the rush of everyday life and show you how good you have it. It reminds me to be grateful, and it also shows me that everyone can help make the world a better place, by just taking a little bit of time out of their day to help. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why? I really love actors like Steve Carell, Will Ferrell and Jim Carrey. I really admire that they will go to great lengths to make others laugh! I tend to do that a lot with my family, I tend to make a fool of myself and do lots of goofy things, just to make my friends and family laugh! How would you describe your fashion style? I'm really inspired by J-fashion, but I tend to lean to more of a spooky style! Who are some of your favorite actors that you have worked with? I loved working with Sam Trammel and Kristen Schaal! Sam was so nice on the set of True Blood, and I loved getting to meet Kristen Schaal when I got to work with her for her comedy special! They are both so nice, and I loved working with them on set! What advice would you give other kids that want to break into acting? Be prepared for lots of rejection, but don't let that get you down! Acting is hard because there is so many things that factor into an actor actually getting the role. If you go out on a lot of auditions, but you aren't getting any roles, that is completely normal! The perfect role will find you! Who would be your dream on screen collaboration and why? I'd love to work with my wonderful boyfriend, Benjamin Stockham! He is also an actor, and I think that working with him would be so much fun! What is one thing that nobody knows about you? Despite my spooky persona, YouTube videos, style, and general love for Halloween, I absolutely love cute things, like I said before, pink is my favorite color! My room is filled with many cute knick knacks from my visits to Japan! When I get home from my scary events in my all black clothing and black lipstick, I love returning to my cute pink bedroom! Have you ever been bullied? I have definitely been picked on in my life, but luckily not as much as some other people have had to deal with. It's really hard, and can leave you questioning a lot about yourself. Sadly, bullying happens to everyone to an extent, the important thing is to brush it off and keep going. What is your advice to kids that are suffering from bullying? Talk to people about what you're going through, and try your best to ignore your bully. If they see it doesn't affect you, they won't care anymore. Bullying can't be very hard to deal with, but you have to try to do everything you care to put an end to it. If you could talk to your 21-year-old self, what would you tell her to remember about the person that you are today and what would you tell her to remember to strive for in the future? Never stop having fun. Still play video games with your friends until 2 am, still make your family laugh, still make yourself laugh. Strive for fun, create fun for others, use the gifts life has given you to create happiness. Laughter and happiness are the most important things in my life, and I never want to lose that.
