You may ask yourself, how do fashion and health correlate? Styles and health help everyone determine their lifestyle. Creativity and design can be a healthy hobby for some. Fashion is a positive outlet that lets people create and design fabrics and materials that can then be made into clothing items. The clothing items individuals choose to wear can be empowering for them. Yet by choosing what pieces to match or put together, an outfit helps express the choice. Dressing up a certain way is a creation of how our minds influence our physical well being.
History behind fashion and health. Fashion is something that is known worldwide. The past here yet the planning for the next future trend. There is so much in fashion culture of style and direction. Patterns and colors on a piece of clothing can affect all aspects of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Joining the bandwagon of the newest trends can either bring positive or negative outcomes to health. In the past years, new styles of fashion have impacted the culture around the world.

How does medical clothing trends affect human health? Your workplace environment can impact the way you dress. Some examples of when a workplace can affect the way you dress are nurses, doctors, and healthcare administrators. Nurses are required to wear scrubs on the daily if they are working in nursing homes, hospitals, and patient clinics. Scrubs help nurses in the workforce limit the spread of germs, bacteria, illnesses, and diseases since they deal with one on one direct contact with patients. Depending on the doctor's workplace, they may or may not need to wear a white lab coat. If doctors are working in a hospital, they usually wear white lab coats with scrubs. Doctors working in emergency rooms or urgent care centers tend to wear scrubs only. In a clinical hospital setting or an office workplace, many doctors wear their lab coats with proper business attire. Many health care administrations dress in business clothing attire.
Clothing Imports Many of America's products come from other countries. Acquiring large amounts of goods can be both a positive outlook or a negative outlook due to economic spending. The positive aspects of U.S. imports are the shipping cost for clothing and incentive for our country to spend less to promote economic growth in the U.S. More mass production for a lower price! When we buy products from China, we as a country benefit. The factories in China are not the best workplace environment for people. There is a ton of manual labor for little pay. The living and working conditions, negatively impact factory workers' health because of the amount of physical pain from the workplace environment.
3
Cultural Outlook Since the beginning of time, pop culture, social background, political influences have impacted human health. Aesthetic, physical, mental, and emotional well being has always had an enormous impact. We live in a country that has multiple cultural diversity that involves the views of people. Aesthetics plays a significant role in this through the perception of how a person dresses. Social norms also play a massive role in the cultural expectations of aesthetics. Physical health implies aesthetics that impacts the emotional and mental health of a person. A person can self identify these traits of fitness depending on their views of health. Favorable opinions of culture can create a positive global platform.
4
Clothing production Clothing materials such as wool comes from animals and can also be imported from other places. Other clothing materials such as cotton come from natural sources and also can be introduced.. Animal products are the most common in clothing production. It helps us be warm during the cold winter season to prevent us from getting ill. Cotton helps us on hot summer days by protecting our skin. Cotton is also a light fabric that helps decrease the amount of sweat.
Clothing is essential for everybody's everyday lives. You need a garment to be able to go to work, grocery stores, malls, etc.
Everyone knows the saying, "Everything in Moderation." However, in this case, even low concentrations of these chemicals can be extremely harmful because of how often we use them. Many products people use daily contain toxic chemicals that are in small enough dosages that are not reported. However, large quantities can be potentially harmful. Examples of these toxins are dibutyl phthalate and diethyl phthalate. Most labels on these items do not even contain proper safety facts.
Between 1933 and 1970, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calculated that reproductive problems in males have doubled. Where did this dramatic increase begin? Research shows that toxic chemicals in beauty and personal care products can be a leading cause of these problems. How much does this affect people?
5
what are we really putting onto our bodies?
INNER BEAUTY

The questionable safety of cosmetic products stems from the conflicting goals of environmental and industrial companies. Numerous studies have shown that the use of cosmetic products is safe to use, but many are still doubtful. One argument people have the use of product testing on animals. They are more worried about the effects of animal testing than how the products could be harmful to themselves. Some ways to limit the use of toxic products are checking the ingredients and researching the brand before using it. A push for better labeling and testing on products is also underway, which will hopefully make products safer for consumers.
The Derriford Appearance Scale
7
COSMETIC
Patient satisfaction is the only way to deem cosmetic surgery successful; therefore, measures such as the Derriford Appearance Scale were established to determine patient satisfaction. The Derriford Appearance Scale is a scale used to evaluate patients' concerns about their physical appearances. A comparison of these scores after surgery shows that patients were less concerned with their appearance after surgery.
Impact of Cosmetic Surgery on Quality of Life Certain cosmetic surgeries have negative stigmas attached to them. Many believe that individuals who get cosmetic surgery are shallow and that cosmetic surgery has no real benefits. However, hundreds of people who get plastic surgery would strongly disagree. For some people, these surgeries completely changed their quality of life by giving them newfound confidence and self-esteem.
What Are The Risks?
8
Research done by Mayo Clinic tells patients to be aware of several things before getting plastic surgery: 1. The first step should be to think about the reason for wanting a particular procedure done and making sure it is for the right purposes. 2. The next step is to make sure a person has realistic expectations. A surgery can enhance a specific part of a person, but they are still the same person afterward. 3. A third step is that a person should be very aware of every risk factor involved in the procedure. These are just a few concerns a patient should keep in mind, but being prepared mentally and physically will make all the difference post-op.
SURGERY
Now, along with the social and personal benefits that come with getting cosmetic surgeries, there are also risk factors involved. Hematomas, blood loss, and infection are only a few of the complications that could happen during a cosmetic surgical procedure. Many doctors give warnings on the emotional or mental effects of plastic surgery on a patient in addition to the physical dangers.

Every year, more new diets and nutrition trends emerge. Here are the top four nutritional trends for 2019 that will help you improve your quality of life.
Optimal nutrition, interpreted as a balanced and adequate diet combined with regular physical exercise, is a fundamental element in maintaining a healthy life. Diet is one of the pillars of health. In all ages, adequate nutrition allows the immune system to be strengthened, fewer diseases to be contracted, and, in general, to enjoy good health. Due to nowadays technological development and easy accessibility of information on the internet, nutrition has evolved from being a fundamental need to follow trends that suggest to us what we should and should not eat. Every year more and more new diets and nutrition trends emerge. Here are the top four nutritional trends for 2019 that will help you improve your quality of life.
These are the top four health and nutrition trends in 2019.
The keto diet consists of substantially reducing carbohydrates intake and replacing it with higher consumption of fat. The use of a ketogenic diet makes the body enter into a metabolic state called ketosis in which the body turns into a fat-burning machine efficiently burning more fat for energy, and this often happens without the sensation of hunger.
Healthy tip! Unless you’re already an excellent hydrator, you’ll need to drink more water than you’re used to on a keto diet.
Plant Based Diet A plant-based diet is a nutritional style abundant in vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes, and fruits that substitute food from animal resources and processed foods. A plant-based diet will help you keep a healthy life. Some scientific studies demonstrate that it can reverse diseases and reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and other illnesses. "The China Study" by Dr. T. Colin Campbell proves that plant-based nutrition results in more energy and bigger fitness payoff. Many people who started implementing plant-based food into their diets report enjoying a healthy life by feeling much better, having less fatigue, and losing weight.

KETO DIET A ketogenic diet, commonly known as the keto diet, is a very low-carb diet that offers many health benefits. This type of diet promotes weight loss, health improvement, and better athletic performance. Recent studies show that this type of diet may even cause significant reductions in blood sugar and insulin levels. Avocado, olive oil, olives, eggs, meat, chicken, turkey, nuts, unsalted butter, and vegetables are low carbohydrate foods essential in the keto diet.

Diets in high antioxidants may improve memory by fighting the free radicals that can damage brain neurons
THE CARNIVORE DIET The carnivore diet is an extremely restrictive diet that implies only eating meat and animal products, excluding all foods such as fruits, veggies, seeds, and grains. Meat can only be seasoned with a little salt and pepper because other condiments are not allowed. Although some variations of the carnivore diet allow dairy products with all their fat, the most extreme followers exclude entirely dairy products. This specific type of diet does not provide guidelines on calorie intake, serving size, or meal timing. Followers of the diet claim that it contributes to rapid fat loss, blood sugar regulation, and reduction of symptoms of multiple autoimmune diseases. However, no research supports these claims, and it seems likely unhealthy in the long term.
Pegan Diet Created by the nutritionist Mark Hyman, the Pegan diet is the combination of the Paleo or Paleolithic diet and the vegan diet. It mixes aspects of the paleo diet, which focuses on consuming the type of foods our ancestors ate during the paleolithic era, and the vegan diet, which avoids all animal products. The menu is based on the intake of fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and small amounts of animal-derived protein foods (meat, fish, eggs), legumes in moderation, gluten-free whole grains, and good quality fats such as olive oil, nuts, and avocado. It excludes any processed food.

The Pegan diet has a strong dependence on fruits and vegetables, which is an essential contribution of fiber, vitamins, and phytonutrients necessary to the body, and makes it ideal for lowering cholesterol. Also, it limits cardiovascular diseases. However, there is no specific scientific evidence to support it. The Pegan diet mixes the best of Paleolithic and vegan food. It is not a 'miracle' diet but a different style of eating.

Music

Most people don't realize that listening to music has a significant effect on not only their minds but their physical health as well. One of the best examples of this was when the French Researcher Dr. Alfred Tomatis published his book, Pourquoi Mozart (Why Mozart). He conducted a study that proved that listening to Mozart improved the performance of mental tasks named "spatial-temporal reasoning." This event is known as the ability to manipulate 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional figures mentally. The Mozart effect has proven to even work on a fetus in the womb.

One of the most stressful things a person can go through in life is surgery because of an illness. A study in New York that was surveying patients who were getting cataract surgery. Then define what cataract surgery is, so readers know how significant it is. In this study, half of the patients received conventional treatment. The other half listened to music before, during, and immediately after their operations. Music helps keep the patient's blood pressure stable. Music has also proven to help surgeons perform better under pressure. This study showed that music has a calming impact on both parties involved and should become more common.

This section of the magazine will discuss the benefits of listening to music. However, creating music can be helpful for the benefit of your health. Music Therapy is something that has been around for hundreds of years. Music has started to become more popular during the last twenty years. A person with depression could go to a Music Therapist. The therapist can help that person create and listen to music to help ease their minds. The therapist's job is to empower the patient through music. Creating music is a holistic way to treat mental illness.
Alan Turry, a Music Therapist, once said, "Music is a way to bypass our rational side and to get in touch with the emotional life we often keep hidden. Music is known as holistic medicine and should be considered more in the medical field. In the past few pages, music has been proven to be helpful not only for patients but also for doctors and surgeons. Music can help physical and mental illnesses. Next time you hear a song or play an instrument, think about the positive health impact music has on you.

Something that started to take place once all these social media platforms began to come out was body shaming and cyberbullying. Body shaming became one of the most popular things to do daily. In the past few years, there have been multiple stories about teens committing suicide due to not only being bullied in school but also online. What we can do is to promote anti-bullying. We can contact social media platforms to have them take down accounts and comments that are promoting bullying, self-harm, or suicide. Together, we can help more teenagers get through being bullied. We can encourage anti-bullying when we see someone getting bullied, report the bully/cyberbully. We can also help victims come forward and notify a parent, guardian, teacher, or any adult about anyone that is bullying them. We can even have anti-bullying conferences or events where we can get informed on new ways of helping in situations where someone is getting bullied in any way.
