Hello Pirate Families,
As we begin the 2020-2021 school year, we are facing new challenges due to the situations surrounding COVID-19. Athletics are directly impacted as we consider the safety of our coaches and student athletes. The following are the most recent updates from NCSAA and NIAA regarding the 2020-2021 sports seasons:
The following statement was issued August 6, 2020:

“Owing to the covid-19 pandemic and the resultant challenges faced by NIAA member schools, the NIAA has made the following adjustments to sports seasons for the 2020-21 school year”

What does this mean for our athletics at Sloan Canyon?
While we are in a distance learning full virtual model academically, all in person practices/intramurals are canceled. However, that does not stop progress towards our 2020-2021 athletics season. We as athletic directors will be working during this time to secure coaches, complete virtual safety training for coaches/staff and get student athletes registered through National Sports ID (K-8) and Register My Athlete (9-10). We will send out more information regarding the registration process in the near future. Our goal is to have everything in place so our teams are ready to begin practice and compete once cleared to do so.
Please stress to your student athlete(s) the importance of their academics during this time! Their eligibility for participation in athletics can and will be impacted by their academic grades during this first semester.
As we anticipate the start of this school years athletics, we also understand that all of these plans are contingent upon guidelines and directives from local and state agencies. As we receive updates, we will communicate those to you.

How can I get my Infinite Campus account?
Emails are being sent out to families who do not have an Infinite Campus user account yet. Please check your email for this email that has been sent out for the last two Fridays and make sure to follow directions. If you click the link more than once, it will be broken and not work anymore. This means you cannot double click the link - only single click the link one time.
I don’t remember my Infinite Campus account. How can I get that?
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and include your first & last name, your students’ first & last name, your students grade level and your students date of birth. If you remember your username, please include that as well and we will reset your password with a temporary one. If you don’t remember your username, please let us know that you need both your username and your password reset.
My student needs an Infinite Campus account, how do they receive it?
Students in secondary school only will receive Infinite Campus account user information after school has begun.
How will we know our child's cohort assignment?
All children are assigned a cohort in the event we begin a hybrid model. These need to be manually entered into Infinite Campus. Once they are made available we will let families know. Thank you for your patience!
