Staying in Touch
7th August 2018 - Term 3 - Week 3
We would like to wish Mrs Demeterio all the very best as she awaits the birth of her first child.
Please keep in your prayers Alisha Kapoor as she recovers from surgery in Melbourne. Also Jeeta Smith as he also continues on his road of recovery.
This week we will revisit the School Supervision section of our Parent Handbook 2018.
This begins at 8:30am and finishes 3:30pm each afternoon.
Parents are reminded that children should not be left at school outside of these hours.
Our school assembly yards are limited in space and as a result parents and guardians need to obey our “Kiss & Drop” points at entrances. We invite you to promote the independence of children by farewelling them at the gate and ensuring that they carry their own bags. No parent is to proceed into classrooms, toilet areas and/or playgrounds unless they have signed in on the Visitors iPad at the office and have a printed visitors badge.
● As assembly space is limited we ask that no student arrive before 8.30am on any morning
● Reservoir Road drive through and drop off is available from 8.30am
● Orwell Street: NO car parking will be allowed in the Church car park. (Except for parishioners attending morning mass)
● The Orwell Street Bus Bay gates are open from 8:30 am
● Buses: All students arriving by bus will proceed from the bus bay area along the path from the basketball courts and via the Ursula Companion Centre
School gates will remain locked outside of these times.

Book Fair : Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th August
Book Week dress up parade : Friday 24th August
The theme for Book Week 2018 is “Find you treasure”. Naturally Books will be the treasure we will be valuing. However, this theme seems to have a literary link to Pirate Treasure also, so a lot of our displays, books and competitions will involve pirates. Perhaps you could consider using this theme for the dress-up day and help your children make simple costumes. There are many templates of hats and masks available on the internet. I will also have some available in the Library.
