You are the manifestation long dreamed of, bringing endless satisfaction to that which is your Source. We wish that you felt about you like we feel about you. -Abraham The power and beauty of God has been individualized as you. Love Herself loves you. You are completely and utterly adored by your heavenly court, and celestial witnesses erupt in celebration with your every accomplishment, regardless of size. The heavenly hosts charged by God with your care take great delight in your happiness, well-being, and satisfaction. The time has come to take the lid off of Love completely, and it begins with you. Your true name is Beloved, regardless of anything else you may be calling yourself or answering to these days. You’re being called out of the obscurity of lukewarm self-tolerance into outrageous, audacious and brazen self-love. If you’re offended by the very idea, then heaven will just have to continue to celebrate without you, but it’s so much better when you cooperate. For many brown peoples around the world, cautious self-love is inherited, born from years and years of struggle, suffering, and sanctioned social injustice. Fear of arrogance, conceit and braggadocio was well-founded because the threat of punishment or death for being uppity was real. There is a calling upon your life at this time to embody Love from your unique ancestral and personal perspective. Radical self-love and relentless self-care are necessary for the tremendous healing that is needed. Conceit and true love are not even remotely acquainted with one another, and the fact that you are concerned about being arrogant means that you probably aren’t. This is a time for you to more fully agree with God’s love for you. As you move closer to unconditional self-love, you share in the ongoing heavenly celebration of Who You Really Are without fear or caution. You begin to heal the schisms within yourself and are then able to offer a firmer, broader, fuller love to the people in your world. If you believe you are meant to love others AS you love yourself, then really consider how, exactly, do you love yourself? What does self-care mean to you? Do you feel good about you? Do you appreciate your own Presence and revel in your own deliciousness? Do you make decisions that are in your own best interest first, before you consider others? Do you deeply embrace everything about you, exactly as you are? Unconditional love is often something we think of as our duty to others, not to oneself. Now is the time to personally embody and express love. Define it for yourself, then live it as you will. Sentiment, nostalgia, emotionalism have all masqueraded as Love for far too long. There are religious definitions, philosophical ideas, romantic notions about who and what Love is. There’s a whole lotta mess going on in the world right now. Your mission--if you choose to accept it--is to Be Love. This is not a trendy catchphrase to be pinned or posted, it is to be lived and embodied. The outer universe mimics your inner one. In recognizing and accepting that you actually are God’s gift to the world, your life purpose becomes clearer: Love is choosing to express Herself through you.

Celebrate Your Whole Self Summer Solstice happens to be my birthday! I’ve noticed that when people are having a birthday, they tend to treat themselves better than usual. When it’s our birthday we like to give ourselves a treat; allow ourselves to be pampered, celebrated, and catered to. We suspend self-criticism, and temporarily refrain from seeing ourselves as badly-behaved employees; guilty children of a hard taskmaster. For some, it is an excuse to take a mental and emotional break from self-deprecation and condemnation. 
 Last year I had the honor of writing the foreword to a groundbreaking book:The Torch: Motherwit, Guideposts and Stories of Purposeful Womanhood,†edited by Dr. Suzanne M. Henderson. I open with: "We have done it to ourselves [and we can undo it}. We cannot blame anyone. We have not always been responsible metaphysicians. We have now come to a point where we can move to the next level on our own evolution." We have the power to change the paradigm. We can choose to fully utilize the personal magic of self-love.
