Key Fob Overview The EP2/EP2plus is equipped with a receiver to allow deactivation of the Theft-Mate portion of the system (Motion Sensor) with a low frequency signal from a Child Check-Mate Key Fob. Operation To suspend the Motion Sensor for 10 minutes: While approaching the vehicle or entering the vehicle, depress the Key Fob for 3 seconds. The EP2/EP2plus Module will emit an audible sound, if equipped with a speaker, the voice annunciation will be "Theft-Mate has been canceled." The vehicle is safe to enter up to 10 minutes. Once ignition is cycled, the Theft-Mate is put back to normal operation. To suspend the Motion Sensor for 8 hours, Maintenance Mode: While approaching the vehicle or entering the vehicle, depress the Key Fob for at least 5 seconds. The EP2/EP2plus Module will emit an audible sound, if equipped with a speaker, the voice annunciation will be "Theft-Mate maintenance mode activated." The vehicle is safe to enter up to 8 hours. Once ignition is cycled, the Theft-Mate is put back into normal operation.
