Dear Families, It is hard to believe that we are at the end of the school year. The weather has finally made a turn for the better and everyone is enjoying the sunshine. The past week we began taking the MAP test and assessments are going well. Please remember that attendance is important during these tests. We had a very successful Leadership Day last month. Students were able to demonstrate their leadership with someone who inspired them. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day. There are several pictures throughout the newsletter from the special day. We are very proud of our 5th Grade students who will be graduating from the DARE program this month. There are many other end-of-the-year events scheduled this month. If you are able to help with Field Day this year, please complete and return the volunteer flyer that will be coming home in the next few days. For families returning next year, please remember to put Supply Drop off night, (Aug. 9 from 4-5:30) and the first day of school, (Aug. 15) on your calendar! Have a fantastic summer! 2018-2019 Early Release Days The 2018-2019 school year calendar is on our website. Just click here. We are grateful for the home-school partnership in teaching children that every minute counts at school and want to make a special note: Early Release Days move to Wednesdays in 2018-2019. We know many of you use this time to schedule appointments, etc., so your child can be at school when class is in session. The change takes effect in August. We hope that by reminding you of this change over the next few months, you and your family are ready for the next school year. Thank you for support of strong school attendance. #EveryMinuteCounts Medication Parents, please be sure to pick up your child's medicine from the clinic by May 23rd. Any medication not picked up will be disposed of at the end of the day on May 24th. Congratulations Mr. Harris!!! Mr. Harris has been chosen for the District's Employee of the Year. We are excited to celebrate with him at the district awards dinner next week. To see the special announcement of the award, CLICK HERE. Accounts Please make sure all lunch accounts and library fines are paid by the end of the year. Any remaining money in student lunch accounts will be carried over to the next year.
