Happy Holidays! This is a very busy time of year for families and school alike. The holidays give us time to reflect and take stock of all of our "big rocks", the things for which we are most thankful. They also give us opportunities to help others and here at Forest Park, we plan to do just that.
We kicked off the giving season by helping North High collect 26 turkeys for the "No Hunger Holiday" Turkey Drive. The Student Lighthouse team will hold a food drive to stock the shelves at H.O.P.E. Ministries and Cornerstone United Methodist Church from Dec. 3 - 14. Our S.H.A.R.E. club will be ringing the bell for The Salvation Army at the Walmart on Highway K from 4 - 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15 . They would love your support. Together we can make a difference in the needs of our community!
We had a wonderful turnout for our Veteran's Day Celebration and our Pancake Dinner/Book Fair. Please enjoy pictures from these events throughout the newsletter. Thank you for all that you do to support our events here at Forest Park. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season!

What is FORTiTUDE?
It's our strength. It’s the connections between Fort Zumwalt School District and the community our schools serve.
Fort Zumwalt designed the FORTiTUDE podcast to bring you a new style of conversation about our schools. It’s our hope to bring you important news, interesting conversation and a few laughs.
Join us as we launch this project Sunday, Nov. 18, 2018.
FORTiTUDE: STRENGTH IN COMMUNITY
Find our first episodes at www.FORTiTUDEOnAir.com beginning Nov. 18 or on Apple Podcasts, GooglePodcasts, Stitcher, and YouTube.
Please remember that school doors open at 8:45 a.m. Those students who arrive early will need to wait outside until the doors open. We will also go outside for recess whenever possible. Be sure to dress warmly and bring hats and gloves as the weather gets colder.
School- Wide Reading Goal
We have set our school-wide reading goal for the 2018-19 school year. Our goal is that 100% of FPE students will reach their personal reading goal. Ask your child what their personal reading goal is and what action steps they are taking to reach that goal.
Lost and Found
Items from the Lost and Found rack will be donated to a local charity at the end of December. Please have your child look for missing items in the Lost and Found.
