Spring has sprung and there are so many exciting things happening in this final quarter. Thank you to everyone that attended our Trivia Night and Fine Arts Fair. It was great to see so many families enjoying their time with each other. Some photos from these fun events are located throughout the newsletter.
Students are preparing for our statewide assessments. Beginning April 23, our students will take the MAP test in the areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics. Fifth grade will also test in Science. The assessments are performance based, made up of multiple choice, performance and writing tasks. Please take a few minutes to review the testing schedule located in the newsletter to help ensure good attendance during the testing dates.
Our annual Leadership Day will be held April 10. Our students are continuing to put first things first in learning and leadership as they stretch toward their academic and personal goals. Students will be showcasing their leadership and sharing their growth with parent guests. As a reminder, all guests must have a completed background check. Registration forms are due by April 3 and are attached.
Please encourage your child to give their very best effort each and every day, because that is what leaders at FPE do. Thank you for all of your continued support.

April 4 -Cardinal Day
Wear your Cardinal Gear or red on April 4th to celebrate the home opener.
5th Grade Camp Candy Sales
Candy sales for 5th grade camp will begin on April 12 and ends April 29th. Information regarding camp candy sales will be sent home soon. This is a great way for students to earn money towards the cost of camp.
In an effort to ensure student safety, each guest should buzz into the office upon arrival and be admitted by a member of the office staff. Please avoid holding the door open for other guests when entering and exiting the building.
Lost and Found
Parents, Our lost and found is once again overflowing with items that students have left behind. We will be donating the items in the lost and found on April 11. Please encourage your child to look for any lost items before April 11.
