allU.S. Credit Union has been awarded the Green Business Certification Award by the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program for exceeding environmental regulatory requirements, preventing pollution and conserving natural resources.
Launched in 2004 by Santa Cruz and Monterey County public agencies and nonprofit organizations, the Green Business Program assists, recognizes and promotes businesses that choose to operate their businesses in
a more environmentally responsible way. Businesses like allU.S. seeking to be certified "green” must meet
or exceed environmental standards for conserving resources, preventing pollution and minimizing waste, and comply with all environmental regulations. Practices include reducing water consumption, retrofitting lights and other equipment to
conserve energy, reducing solid waste going to
landfills by minimizing waste and recycling, and implementing practices that reduce pollution and protect worker safety.
We are thrilled to receive this distinction. We are committed to operating a green business in an effort to create a healthier community, and over time these improved business practices will make a significant difference in our consumption and environmental footprint. Our previous location on Market Street was also green certified.

Technology can be great, but it can also cause you severe problems. While it can be convenient (online banking, depositing checks with your phone, etc.), identity thieves can steal your personal information very easily. But, if you are vigilant, you can spot problems before they happen and not become a victim.
Below are some ways thieves steal your personal information and a few tips to keep your information secure.
1. Password Theft
Stealing passwords has earned the top spot in identity theft. That’s because passwords provide thieves access to all of your online information (credit cards, sensitive documents, etc.).
Your best defense against password theft is maintaining strong, varied passwords. Experts tell us your passwords should be at least 12 characters, include upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols. Most importantly, don’t use the same password for all your sensitive accounts. But for extra security, use an online password manager that auto-generates random passwords and stores them for you.
2. Illegal Cameras at ATMs
Just when you thought you were safe, password hackers have come up with a new trick to obtain your password at the ATM. Thieves now unobtrusively install an illegal camera at ATMs located over the keypad. When you enter your PIN, the camera catches it. The thieves return to the ATM and retrieve the camera and steal all the information that is on it.
How do you prevent this from happening to you?
Simply cover your PIN with your other hand when
you use an ATM.
3. Fraudulent Accounts in Your Name
Identity theft occurs when thieves steal your personal information and use it to open accounts in your name. Depending on how long it takes you to figure out you’ve been hacked, the consequences can range from a slight nuisance to a full financial mayhem. The good news is that most financial institutions like allU.S. Credit Union and credit card companies monitor accountholder activity for suspicious behavior. It’s also important for you to be vigilant and take matters into your own hands. Check your credit report once a year and make sure you recognize all accounts. If you see accounts you can’t identify, make sure you report them immediately.

What Do I Like the Most About
allU.S. Credit Union?
I don’t know of any bank that can compare with my credit union. Everyone at the credit union treats customers with respect. They are all so helpful, and most of all very friendly. I get the services of a large bank with the personal service of a small hometown credit union. When any of my friends complain about their banks, I always suggest they try allU.S. Credit Union. I’m a very happy customer!
How Is allU.S. Credit Union Positively Different Than Other Banks?
allU.S. Credit Union treats their customers like family using their personal touch by providing a warm and friendly atmosphere.

On August 21, 2017, people across the United States will see the sun disappear behind the moon, turning daylight into twilight, causing the temperature to drop rapidly and revealing massive streamers of light streaking through the sky around the silhouette of the moon. On that day, America will fall under the path of a total solar eclipse .
The so-called Great American Total Solar Eclipse will darken skies all the way from Oregon to South Carolina, along a stretch of land about 70 miles (113 kilometers) wide. People who descend upon this "path of totality" for the big event are in for an unforgettable experience.
Everybody is asking, "Where should I go to see the eclipse?" There is no one right answer. Here are several right answers:
You should make every effort, if possible, to get into the path of totality on August 21, 2017. If you already live within the path, you're in luck! If not, note that nearly everyone in the continental U.S. lives within a one- or two-day drive of the path.
Totality lasts longer toward the center of the path of the moon's shadow than it does near the edge, so the closer you are to the "center line" of the eclipse, the more time you'll have to enjoy the splendors of totality (weather permitting).
Being within the path of totality is better than being outside it, but some places within the path may be better than others, depending on your preferences and budget. As described in more detail on this Weather & Climate page, experienced eclipse chasers aim to strike a balance among three factors: duration of totality; local accommodations, amenities and attractions; and the likelihood of clear skies. These considerations often conflict with each other; for example, totality lasts longer in southern Illinois than it does to the northwest or southeast, but the parts of the country most likely to have clear skies in late August are in the northwest.
You should have a Plan B in case the weather isn't looking good on eclipse day at your preferred observing location. It'll be helpful if there are good roads heading from your Plan A site to the northwest and southeast along the path of totality.
