"WHIS is a unique thing, to have so many people in the same room who want to see good things happen is a wonderful opportunity that is there for the taking. Personally I was so pleased to see so many people come to Carlisle who had never been before, and they loved it. WHIS is helping the world see what a great city Carlisle is. The potential of WHIS is endless, what we saw and heard was that people were wanting more space like this to help join the dots and create a better way of looking after each other. For Give a Day we made some connections with other people who are working really hard for the good of the city." Andy Fearon, Give A Day
"What a very reassuring solution for some families where there is a child or a family member with a learning disability or autism. This Emergency Card can be read by anyone who has a smartphone with a QR Scan Reader App. The information you can upload to it covers their medical history, any medications they need or any allergies, their emergency contact details and you can even upload their photo too. I particularly like the idea that you can choose exactly how much and what sort of information you upload yourself. It could be helpful in so many different situations, from being involved in a serious car accident to wandering off and getting lost in the middle of Tesco. It’s also affordable at £12.00 for a year, and works anywhere in the world."
