March madness
March! It's a month full of exhilarating events and activities to look forward to. There will be Pi Day, Saint Patrick's Day, Easter Break, the Spring Equinox, the Bully Plays, and Liahona Prom. The students - and their parents - will be running around like mad to catch it all. Yet we can look forward to this madness with excitement. Why? In Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland, Alice accuses the Cheshire Cat of being mad, and the cat responds with, "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad ... You must be, or you wouldn't have come here." Then it offers to guide her through Wonderland. Don't be worried about the upcoming month. It may look like madness, but it's going to be wonderful. We hope you enjoy it. The newsletter will have everything you need to guide you through the madly exciting month of March!

Holy Guidance
By Sydney Selin and Bowen Davis A perfect way to find shelter from all of the March Madness is to seek guidance in the temple. Looking for protection in the Lord’s house, as often as possible, will bring immense spiritual blessings to your life. We realize that not everyone has the opportunity to practice regular temple attendance. Elder Cook gave some inspiring advice on temple attendance in his April 2016 General Conference address entitled: "See Yourself in the Temple." Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? Our ancestors have done so much for us, whether they were members of the early church or not. It is now our duty to bring our family back to Christ. Elder Cook made some remarks concerning this subject, "The Lord has prospered our people and provided the resources and prophetic guidance so we can be valiant in attending to our temple responsibilities for both the living and the dead.” The Lord has basically given us a portal to Heaven on earth, and He has given us countless other blessings, so the least we can do is serve Him in His houses. If a temple is not available to you, there are still things you can do to serve the Lord. We’ve come up with three: you could engage in family history work; you could make and keep weekly covenants with your Father in Heaven; and you could even post your testimony about the temple on social media. The temple is an enormous blessing, and all prophets have discussed the numerous blessings you can receive from experiencing the temple. President Monson has stated,“Until you have entered the house of the Lord and have received all the blessings which await you there, you have not obtained everything the Church has to offer. The all-important and crowning blessings of membership in the Church are those blessings which we receive in the temples of God.” There are certain blessings you may obtain in the temple that you can not receive through any other church ordinance. Temples are holy places. Temples are a tremendous key to God’s plan for us on earth, and when we take the time to visit these sacred grounds, our testimonies are blessed because of it. Temples are God’s portal to us, and by engaging in regular temple attendance, the veil between Heaven and earth will become thinner and thinner. We testify of these self-evident truths in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
