July 2017 Theme: Covenant Season of Kingdom Power
Inspirational Monthly Devotional
The world system is run on kingdom principles and there are three kingdom realms. The natural (territorial) kingdoms, the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God (the kingdom of light). Every human being lives in a natural kingdom of this world but is also under the spiritual governing influence of either the kingdom of darkness or the kingdom of God. The kingdom of darkness is goverened by Satan (also known as the prince of this world). He governs his dark kingdom through principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. The kingdom of God, on the other hand, is the kingdom of light (also known as the kingdom of His dear son, Jesus). The bible says that, as the redeemed, we have been rescued from the kingdom darkness and translated into the kingdom of God but we wrestle against the kingdom of darkness continually. However, our victory has been perpetually sealed by the Holy Spirit through the blood of Jesus and our testimony. We therefore need to exercise the power given to the saints to accomplish this and one of the ways we gain this power is through the anointing. Anointing literally means to rub with oil. In the bible, priests and kings were anointed into office. However, spiritually speaking anointing refers more to a process whereby the spirit of God is imparted on a person. Jesus as Son of Man was anointed at His baptism to affirm both His Sonship of God and His impartation with the Holy Ghost and Power to function. At the end of His physical earthly ministry, he told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem to be endued with the same Power from on high. We possess kingdom power through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. By it we: perform supernaturally in life; serve God acceptably; gain supernatural wisdom and insight; remain steadfast; and fulfil destiny amongst several other things. May the Lord Himself keep us secure in His power in Jesus name. Amen. Meditation: II Cor. 4:3-4, Col. 1:13, Matt. 3:16-17; Acts 10:34-48, Eph. 3:20, Col.1:29, Daniel 2:23, Acts 4:33.

Week 2 The Kingdom Power of Righteousness (Download audio message here)
Righteousness (Also Known As: uprightness, justice or blamelessness) is the state of moral perfection required by God to enter heaven. However, the Bible clearly states that human beings cannot achieve righteousness through their own efforts. PEOPLE receive righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour. Christ, the sinless Son of God, took humanity's sin upon himself and became the willing, perfect sacrifice, suffering the punishment mankind deserved. This doctrine is called IMPUTATION. Christ's perfect righteousness is applied to imperfect humans. It is extended to us by grace and received by faith. Righteousness is therefore a kingdom privilege that gives us the power to enjoy: Boldness, Divine Promotion, Deliverance, Divine Rewards and Divine Provision amongst other things. May the Lord continue to enable us enjoy all the Kingdom benefits in Jesus name. Amen. Meditation: Rom. 5:1-21; II Cor. 5:17, 21; Rom. 14:17; Prov. 28:1; Prov. 13:17-20; Is. 3:10; Ps. 34:9-10
Everyone is naturally born aliented from the peace of God. It is by redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that we are able to experience PEACE WITH GOD. Jesus became our peace so that we who were once so far off, He reconciled unto God. However, as we continue to physically dwell in this world, we will encounter challenges to our very life of peace. Hence, Jesus gave us His peace which surpasses that which the world seeks to give. This peace is the PEACE OF GOD. To enjoy the power that comes with the peace of God, however, we must keep our hearts from being troubled by ungodly reports and also from being anxious of anything. We must also love the word of God and learn to walk in holiness and in the pursuit of peace with others. Finally, we must never allow the spirit of fear to take root in us. May the God of peace indeed continue to crush satan underneath our feet in Jesus name. Amen. Meditation: Eph. 2:14-18; Rom. 5:1-2; Rom. 14:17; John 14:27; Ps. 119:165; Mark 4:37-40

Week 4 The Kingdom Power of Joy (Download audio message here)
The joy of the Lord is the gladness of heart that comes from knowing God, abiding in Christ, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. Joy is the natural reaction to the work of God, whether promised or fulfilled. The Greek word for joy is chara. Chara is closely related to charis, which means “grace” or “a gift.” Chara is the normal response to charis—we have joy because of God's grace commuted to us through Jesus Christ. Joy comes with revelation of the Word we receive. Weeping only endures in the night of darkness....but joy comes with the morning light. “Joy in the Holy Spirit” is a distinguishing mark of the kingdom of God. Those who are part of the kingdom share in the kingdom’s delight. The Joy of the Holy Spirit can manifest in several different ways through our: salvation, spiritual maturity and remaining in the presence of God. May the Lord continue to make us partakers of His Joy in Jesus name. Amen. Meditation: Neh. 8:1-18; John 16:24; Rom. 14:17; Is. 12:3; James 1:2-4; Ps. 16:11
The kingdom of God is indeed unto us: Righteousness and Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit. These are benefits to every believer in living the abundant life. However, God who made us partakers of the abundant life also commanded us to spread the same to others, thereby making them disciples like us. Jesus told the first disciples He recruited to follow Him so they too could make other disciples. A disciple is one who is: assured of salvation and is led by the Holy Spirit; steadfast and committed to grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus; and is willing to enlist as a labourer in the kingdom of God. A Kingdom labourer must among other things be: faithful, sacrificial, exemplary and willing to embrace and demonstrate the power of God at all times. May the Lord continue to make us true disciples indeed in Jesus' name. Amen. Meditation: Matthew 28:16-18; Acts 1:8; I Corins 4:1-2, 9, 15-16, 20
