Even though SAP has a comprehensive portfolio of Analytics applications – from BI Platform to Lumira to Digital Boardroom – we also rely on our growing partner ecosystem to complement those solutions by building product extensions on top of SAP Analytics. It makes sense. It fosters collaboration and gives customers a vast spectrum of innovative Analytics extensions to choose from. A thriving ecosystem is a sign of a healthy environment, much the same in business as in nature. SAP partner solutions are diverse, from Lumira geomaps to Design Studio export toolsets to Predictive matrix visualizations, and the vendors vary from niche startups to giants like IBM and Infosys. But what all these pioneering extensions have in common is that they are built in a secure environment using SAP software development kits (SDKs). The Analytics Extensions Directory is all about providing choice, value and quality for the customer. And if you spend a few minutes browsing the 230+ offerings, you will quickly discover it delivers on its claims – the world of SAP Analytics partner extensions at your fingertips. CIO INSIGHTS
Taking a cue from the previous article from Enterprise Support that covered the SAP enterprise Support services relevant for the Build / Implementation phase, the below article is on the services relevant for the Operation phase: They say “It is easy to start and easier to stop however the toughest part is to operationalize”. After a successful implementation of the SAP solution, most of the organizations find it challenging to ensure operational efficiency and to consistently improve the system throughputs. There is always a motivation to innovate further once the systems stabilize - recent studies show that companies that have a stable system environment are more likely to succeed in the pursuit to achieve their vision of their digital computing technologies. While the need for radical change through innovations are becoming ever more necessary, this would be possible only once the systems are operational and stable. With an objective to help you achieve optimal/ stable system health, SAP offers a set of services that help customers to tune their systems and to address common known issues during the Operation Phase. Delivery format: As already mentioned in previous article, SAP Continuous Quality Checks (CQC) connects you with an SAP Expert who analyses your system based on real life data from your systems and/or solution. Depending on the topic, you need to provide further information (i.e. via questionnaire) that will be part of the analysis. After each service, you will receive a service report with an executive summary, findings and a detailed action plan to mitigate risks or continuously improve your situation. Implementation of the mentioned recommendations will help you to (a) mitigate potential risks, (b) improve system performance, availability and stability and (c) ensure data security. Topics addressed during Operation Phase 1. Performance issues on production system – find root cause and offer recommendations 2. Data Volume management – includes supporting customers on archiving strategy 3. Security validation – identify common mistakes in the area of security helping customers avoid system breach 4. Validate the system health check 5. Technical assistance through recommendations for a customer migrating Operating system and/or Database 6. System consistency validation for ABAP transport requests between Development, Quality and Production systems
