Welcome to The Friday Five
Much like a bulletin board, Padlet lets you place resources all in one spot for easy, updatable access. Below are some ideas on how to integrate Padlet into your work:
Easy Warm-Up or Exit Ticket: Provide students with the access link to respond on their devices in lieu of post-it notes.
Resource Library: Link documents, files, videos, and websites for reference
Vote on suggestions: Have students/participants submit suggestions, and then let them vote on their favorites!
Here are 30 more suggestions on using Padlet from Bookwidgets.com.
Its important to create safe spaces for students (and adults) to share their thoughts. Flipgrid lets you do that asynchronously with video! Below are some ideas:
Book or Article Reflections: Have students video their thoughts instead of submitting paper. Their peers can even respond to add onto the conversation.
Collaborate with another class: Draw curricular connections or connect with another school.
Here are additional ideas for using Flipgrid.
Tools to Maximize Your Time:Now that the school year is in full swing, one thing you may feel you lack is time. The following resources are ones that can help you maximize the time you have so you can focus more on doing what you do best--supporting our students (or those who support our students).

Try Nearpod, which offers a free version, and a premium version (all CCSD media centers now have a license) so you can create your own lessons or explore pre-made lessons for your students to use. Once you launch your Nearpod lesson, you can guide students along or allow them to move at their own pace. You can also include assessments with real-time data which will also be kept in a report you can download for reference later.
