April/May Events
The fine details of our education may fade with time, but what we have felt will remain within us in the eternities. Through Youth Conference and live classes, we have built a wonderful, eternal bond between the Academy and DE students. We have grown together, learned together, and filled our hearts and minds together. As some of us meet the people we have only heard about through Telenect chat and video, we realize that the ceremony is about to end. Graduation has finally come. It seems unreal, but we are finished here. However, despite our exeunt from Liahona, we will never leave behind the important principles of secular knowledge and divine wisdom we have been taught. Liahona has supplied us with the map for our future. It has also shown us how to live with God as our compass. Although we are separated physically, the Liahona Warriors are armed with the knowledge that we are united. We may forget yesterday or today, but we will not forget our hope in tomorrow.

A Message For Our Graduating Students
Liahona Chronicle
“I’m going to biggen this. Biggen. It’s a technical term you wouldn’t understand.”
"Just in case anybody happens to think that the Constitution was written to guarantee your freedoms, that is not the most important reason; The most important reason is that the Gospel could be restored."
"If you live righteously everyday, then every day is a temple day because your body is a temple."
In his talk, "Drawing the Power of Jesus Christ into Our Lives," President Nelson said, “When the Savior knows you truly want to reach up to Him—when He can feel that the greatest desire of your heart is to draw His power into your life—you will be led by the Holy Ghost to know exactly what you should do. When you spiritually stretch beyond anything you have ever done before, then His power will flow into you.” As Liahona Warriors, we must stretch to do more. We must allow Christ's atonement to fill our hearts. This year, the Church launched a campaign, #PRINCEofPEACE, demonstrating his principles of peace - and, we might add, his power. These principles are faith, compassion, forgiveness, gratitude, prayer, God’s word, repentance, and hope. When we follow Christ, reaching for Him and living like Him, we will feel His power. This spring, have faith and show gratitude for the compassion that He gives all of us. Find and give forgiveness through Christ. Feel gratitude for Christ and all He gave us. Pray to Heavenly Father and read His word that has been translated through His prophets. Find hope and repent through Christ. Living like this will brighten your life and bring you closer to our heavenly family.

"WAKE UP!"
Easter Devotional
"You've got to have a Testimony of our constitutional laws, and the rights and privileges, sacred as they are, that allowed the restoration of the gospel. You have to study enough to know what was really meant."
"Actually, the Flintstones weren’t from the 70s. They were prehistoric - even though the 70s may seem prehistoric to you. " Preston: "I mean, you were still there, right?" "It’s gonna be a very long day, Preston."
“I teach the 2,060 [Stripling Warriors] every morning. It’s not a compliment; it’s the expectation.”

There’s always a wonderful atmosphere at Liahona because the students and teachers learn from each other, and they try to keep the spirit with them. Even when they are performing plays, dressing up for Halloween, wearing green, enjoying a good book and a waffle, participating in spirit week, or just learning about government and “Therefore what?”, Liahona Warriors are developing great moral character. From a DE perspective, the school year is slightly different. Instead of waking up early and getting ready to go to school, some stumble out of bed to sit in front of their computers. They can pause their recorded classes to get snacks and take as many bathroom breaks as they want. From talking to DE classmates before class to visiting the school and finally meeting in person, this school year was definitely one for the record books. There are so many treasures to remember from this past year. A few of the memorable winter activities included Temple Square, a sledding activity on an amazing hill, and visiting the Draper Temple to do baptisms for the dead. In the fall, Youth Conference was a highlight of the year because memories were created, lasting friendships were made, and DE and Academy students had experiences of a lifetime. This summer will be its own kind of fun, and we look forward to seeing everyone back in the fall! We can't wait to hear about all your summer adventures! #WeAreLiahonaWarriors
