Aim was founded in 1987, with the goal of erasing the need for abortion by changing a woman’s fear into confidence to choose life. Since then, Aim has served hundreds of women in Steubenville, Ohio and the surrounding area.
Aim is blessed to have a generous community of donors who whole-heartedly embrace our ministry’s mission of supporting women and protecting the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death.
Through this generosity, Aim has strategically grown its reach and impact within the Ohio Valley and beyond, building a team of professional staff and volunteers while increasing our visibility within the community.
Aim has experienced significant growth over the past 2 years and is seeking the right person to guide it forward in the name of Christ.
Aim's mission is to be the first place a woman, seeking an abortion, turns when faced with an unexpected pregnancy.
To maintain a Christ-like attitude in philosophy at all times with patients, clients and co-workers and to surrender our work to God’s wisdom and commit ourselves to pray regularly for our work, our patients, our clients, and their families, and our benefactors.
To dialogue and offer appropriate resource referrals as alternatives to abortion.
To offer all our services free of charge.
To foster and encourage chastity and abstinence.
To offer spiritual guidance, encouragement, and hope to women who have experienced the effects of abortion and make referrals to counselors as agreed upon by the patient or client.
To extend and demonstrate Christian compassion to women in need. We, in many cases, are extending the hand of Jesus to those who do not always see His wisdom and power in their lives.
Aim employs registered nurses (RN) to perform free pregnancy tests and limited testing and treatment of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD/STI). Sonographers are employed to perform limited ultrasounds. Aim offers its patients accurate information about abortion procedures and risks, as well as pregnancy and fetal development.
Education courses offer the opportunity for young mothers and someone significant in their life to prepare for the birth of their child; find a relationship with Christ; and bring about awareness to cycles of violence, addiction, forgiveness, or anything else that might hinder her from being the best mom she can be. To help alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with having a baby, Aim offers a crib, pack n’ play, and/or gift cards and diapers to the women who participate in these classes.
Aim offers gift cards to medical patients to help offset the costs of travel to and from the center. For women who have chosen to continue their pregnancy Aim also offers a layette and monthly material assistance including formula, diapers, and wipes.
