March
Life, like poker, has an element of risk. It shouldn't be avoided. It should be faced. ~Edward Norton
Cash-Man, also known as Bert, has been playing at GPokr since 2009. Since moving to San Antonio, Texas, USA, from Maine, he has started his own handyman/carpenter business. It's called "Bert the Builder" and he does flooring, painting, decks, and remodeling.
His business is his hobby. Bert loves building things, but riding his Harley motorcycle is his passion. When asked what super powers he would like to have, he said "if being handsome, nice, witty, and charming is a power, then I already have super powers!" He enjoys Members tourns the most, and would really love a Members Final at the end of each month. ("What are you waiting for, Ryan?") He likes playing with people who have a sense of humor, like Stoney, Two Pines, shylo, Bama, Robin, kkm, Mrs. Dave, Madz, the doc, and most of the members, to name just a few. So many great people play at GPokr! Bert has a few interesting thoughts about what GPokr needs and we are going to put him in touch with Ryan. Thanks to Cash-Man for being our March Player Spotlight. Good Luck!
March Riddle Contest
This month we are going to do something new! We will post a riddle below, and an email address to answer it. The FIRST and TENTH correct answers will both be awarded with 25k in GPokr chips! Once we have the winners, they will be notified and the answer and winners will be posted on the advisor blog section of the forum. Thanks and good luck! Note: of course you can look up any answer, but why not try it on your own and have some fun? (this is why there is a random 10th place winner as well as the first.) **If you need help with translation, use this link and copy/paste the riddle into google translate. Put English on the left, and your language on the right.** https://www.google.com/#q=translate _______________________________________________
In the early 1960's, NASA was sending electronic gear into outer space on unmanned missions. They had already sent a man into space but they wanted to make sure that if they were going to send people up for longer flights, that they had a chance of surviving. NASA sent this electronic gear up to test a variety of things like radiation exposure, and so on. The equipment kept failing, but they couldn't figure out why. Finally, someone determined that the circuits were overheating, so they installed a fan to cool off the devices. But the problems persisted. Why? Use your brain!
