First Impressions from
an IACS Freshman

What is the purpose of ILP’s? They need to be improved. They feel more like busywork than a way to set goals for yourself.
There are fewer people:
It feels easier to be the youngest grade in the high school because the student and teacher community feels closer. Even in a class with all the other grades, it’s still small.
I get more sleep now:
Classes are from 8:00AM-3:00PM. During middle school, I had to get up at 6AM, because classes started at 7AM. Now I get to wake up at 7AM. Having that extra hour of sleep really helps.
As a new Freshman at Innovation, I’ve noticed some differences between it and my middle school:
The block schedule:
This makes things less stressful. Students have more time to get homework done, and if there’s a class they hate, they don’t have to go to it every day.
