Advice from the Previous Class to the Current
We understand. IACS may be a small school but it can feel really big at first. Trust us, you'll make it through. You'll get used to the workload and before you know it you'll be the big senior who owns the school. Just head this advice we've gathered for you from new sophomores and you'll survive just fine.

“Write your homework down.” Olivia Silva ‘18
Quite honestly this is sort of an in-between year in many high school experiences. You've adapted to the school but you're still lumped in with the Freshman. But trust us, this is a very very important year. You have to make it count and enjoy being exactly where you are, it doesn't last long.
Prepare to be bombarded with countless emails from various colleges as soon as you finish PSATs. - Innovator Staff
“Stay on top of things and don’t be lazy.” Araceli Schmalz ‘18
"Try not to start fights with people" -Jonathan Passarelli ‘19
Alright guys, fasten your seat belts, you're on the ride. This year is gonna be crazy and fast and all you can do is try to hold on. Try not to overload yourself and remember to breathe. You've gotten through two years in this place, you can do two more. We have advice here for you from seniors who just survived it, we hope it'll help.
"Find a balance between working on college stuff sooner rather than later, but at the same time try not to stress yourself out until it's actually important." -Rebecca Kearns '17
"The earlier you get stuff done, the better. Don't rush, and study hard because college classes pick up quickly. Be an active learner, not passive" - Matthew Frey '16
This is your last hoorah, but don't think that you're done yet. This year has only just begun and you've got to make it the best you can. There's so much to do but don't get overwhelmed. Just enjoy your last time in high school and the friends that you've gotten to know in this time. It'll be over before you know it.
"Learn how to study for a test. You start getting more of them so find methods that work for you!" -Michelle Tenaglia '17
"Senior year is a roller coaster ride! You're gonna face lots of challenges but as long as you just keep pushing you will eventually overcome those challenges that come your way and you're gonna look back on your senior year saying 'I did it!'" - Cameron Merullo '16
"In the stressful midst of the college process, take a deep breath and have some fun. Have faith that your life will take you to where you are supposed to be. Enjoy your last year of high school, it goes by really quickly!"- Sydney Sylvain '15
"Don’t take too many honors courses that you might not be able to handle. You’re going to have a lot on your plate." - Innovator Staff
