Great start to the new year!
From the Math & ELA Departments
This year, your child will be taking the Math and ELA i-Ready diagnostic 3 times during the academic year. i-Ready assessments helps us better understand what our students know and don’t know, find ways to meet students’ wide-ranging needs, and build a classroom culture where data helps guide instruction and foster student ownership of learning and growth. iReady provides engaging digital instruction based on individual diagnostic results that meet students where they are and allows them to work independently on their personalized on-line Instruction plans.
Learn more about i-Ready by visiting i-ReadyCentral.com/FamilyCenter. Information provided in English and Spanish. The site shares what i-Ready is and answers questions you may have, and how you can support your child.
The Parent Newsletter will be sent home monthly via the Aspen Portal. This is a change from the past. I am making this change In order to have the Parent Newsletter translated for our families.
I will be sending home a condensed text only version of activities for the upcoming week every Sunday.

Pick up and Drop Off Procedures
If you will be dropping off or picking up your child, please follow the traffic pattern. For the safety of all students, vehicles are not allowed in the circle in front of the school from 7:45 - 8:10 and 2:15 - 2:40. This will allow the buses to safely drop off and pick up students.
Parents dropping students off must use the large parking lot nearest the fields on the left. Walkers will use the crosswalks leaving the building, and the sidewalks to Brook St.
Students should arrive to school no later than 8:10, as homeroom begins promptly at 8:15. Students who are not seated in homeroom by 8:15 will be considered tardy.
Please drive slowly in the parking lot and do not text while driving. The parking lot is very active. We almost had some accidents because of distracted drivers.
At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child's success is the positive involvement of parents.
