Larry the Leprechaun
As many know, leprechaun's are very sneaky creatures, such as mine, Larry. March is always a dread for me since that's when Larry comes back. He comes every year to my school and always hides by the white board and lets us know he's here.
After he lets the class know that he's here, he moves on to different places. He hid on the white board on Monday the week before St. Patrick's day. On Tuesday, he broke into an open student's locker.
On Wednesday, he completely broke into and stole lots of Ms. Wheeler's candy!!

Larry the Leprechaun
Finally on Friday, Larry locked me out of the house area. He made me stand there for a while, but then he let me in because he felt bad. He told me that he was being rude because he was sad, which is something that does happen with leprechauns, just like with people. He told me he was sad because he only gets to see me for a week a year and that he always misses me and doesn't know how to act when he sees me. After that I comforted him by telling him I still loved him, and then he had to go. I was mad, but had a good time and now I miss him like crazy once again.
On Thursday, after school, Larry went to Mr. Weiss's room and changed the name on the front to Mr. Larry! Isn't that rude!! Mr. Weiss got really mad.

Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Valentines Day, and 4th of July. All many well known holidays, but do you know about National Soup day, Middle Child's day, and No Diet Day?
There are many strange holidays in every month, but today we will talk about the weirdest ones in the month of March. Another popular holiday you’ve probably heard of is Cinco de Mayo, but have you heard of Cinco de Marcho on the 5th? Whoever your language arts teacher is, ask them if they celebrate Proofreading Day on the 8th this month. Do you enjoy your middle name, or love oatmeal nut waffles? Well, it’s your day to shine on the 11th with Middle Name Pride day and Oatmeal Nut waffle day. Is everything you think wrong? It sure is if it’s on the 15th this month, Everything you think is the wrong day. Considering this is middle school, we have all had our fair share of awkward moments. That’s why we have Awkward Moments day March 18th! International Goof Off day is the 22nd (and only the 22nd, watching out for you teachers reading). Have you been longing for a dog for the longest time? Well, the 23rd is your day, Puppy day! If, for some reason, you like chocolate covered raisins...time to gorge out on Chocolate covered raisins day. Last but not least, do you have a burning passion for putting things on sticks? Well it’s time to share your passion with the world on the 28th, Put Something on a Stick Day.
So when someone asks you in the future, “What’s your favorite holiday?”, we hope you say one on this list (maybe not Chocolate covered raisins day).

During the past few months, Venezuela has begun to fall into quite a plight with rising food costs. With its self-appointed leader, Juan Guaido, rallying other countries to back him, the original Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro is doing the same. Currently, the USA is backing Juan Guaido who wants to rebuild his country to what it was before, and with oil as Venezuela's main source of revenue Guaido would like to get this breakdown resolved so that the precious oil can be shipped once again and the revenue can continue to flow in.
However, the breakdown has also affected Venezuela's 31.98 million inhabitants. If you check the stores and markets in Venezuela you’ll find almost nothing there, but if you are lucky enough to find a small apple or mango you may have to pay quite a hefty price for this. The breakdown has caused people to go hungry while the prices of basic necessities have skyrocketed. Health care has become nearly impossible to get and lines to banks can be expected to more than a mile long.
But hope still could be achieved for the Venezuelans. Lately, it has been discovered that on the border between Venezuela and Colombia, Venezuelans have been sneaking across and charged money by some sort of gang. But it is all worth it for the Venezuelans because, once crossed, they can get any supplies that they can carry. However, for the rest of the communities nowhere near the border, they just pray that they can find food in the local dumps the next day.
As you can see this crisis has become very real and if not resolved soon we could see starving children and giant protests in the near future. I think the US needs to get more involved with this crisis if the world wants this problem solved quickly.

White melting chocolate
Green food dye
Any shape of a pretzel
Other things you need:
1.You need to melt your white chocolate at about 90℉ on the stove. 2. Then once it's melted add some green food dye. 3. Once you've done that you can let it melt for a little longer and lay down a sheet of wax paper.
Then take your pretzels and dip them in the chocolate and lay them on the paper.
If you want to put some sprinkles on them now would be the time.
Let them dry and then enjoy!
Tip: If in the microwave put the chocolate in for small increments of time and stir.

Today, we have decided to give you exclusive access to read our interview with a real leprechaun, Steven McPattycake:
Interviewer: "So where is this legendary leprechaun gold actually located?"
Steven: "Well, First, you have to go to the end of a rainbow and sacrifice lucky charms to a four leaf clover and then the gold should fall from the sky."
Interviewer: "Why is it that Leprechauns are so short?"
Steven: "Yikes, uh, well first we appeared as tiny demons that ate all Halloween candy, but then some of us immigrated to Ireland and turned into fat, old, gold hoarders."
Interviewer: "Um, okay then! Moving on, why the color green? "
Steven: "The true reason is that green is the depicted color of puke and us leprechauns eat a lot of lucky charms and they do not go down easy. P.S. We also get a lot of leprosy and lice."
Interviewer: "Is there anything else you'd like to share with us?"
Steven: "Well, sometimes when the going gets tough and we run out of potatoes. We get a little grouchy and break into people homes and steal their lucky charms!"

Interview With a
According to Michelle Lavalee, “ in ireland the four leafs of the four leaf clover stand for hope, faith, love and luck. Really the four leaf clover dates back to Biblical times when Eve carried a clover out of the garden of Eden to remind her what a beautiful garden she had just been in. Four leaves are held in high regards to the Celts of Wales. Also Druid priest would also use shamrocks to heal the sick and ward off evil spirits in worship rituals. Irish people would also hang shamrocks over their door to ward off evil spirits. The popularity of shamrocks rose when Mort Dixon wrote "I'm looking for a four leaf clover."

The origins of saint Patrick's day
Saint Patrick was born in Roman Britain in the late fourth century and was kidnapped and taken to Ireland, at the age of 16. He escaped Ireland and returned back to Britain. Shortly afterward, in around 432, he went back to Ireland to convert it to Christianity. Before his death on March 17, 1461, he established monasteries, churches, and schools. The holiday was not a “largely secular holiday” (Britannica Encyclopedia) until the emigrants of the United States made it one.

Q-How do you catch up on late work on time?
A- First of all, you would want to try to be at school every day. The only days that you should be missing are when you are sick. Also, try to use the class time that the teacher gives you. Hopefully this helps!
Q- Hi, so I have a crush they are the most amazing person on this planet. Everytime I see them my heart skips a beat and my head starts spinning around and my knees grow weak and I can barely stand because this person takes my breathe away. but unfortunately I don't know How to tell them. Could you please give me advice how should I tell them without having to hide behind note and a screen?
A- Start off by giving them a few compliments every day, just small ones like , "your hair looks nice today!" And then, move on to trying to talk to them as much as you can. Just small talk nothing big. Once you feel like you know the person. Now, you can tell them how you feel! It's not that bad, really! You never know what will happen until you try!
Q- How do you get your grade up in language arts?
A- To start off, find what is causing your grade to go down. Membean quizes? Mechanics quizzes? Then try to really work hard on getting those to a good grade. For a Membean quiz, I would recommend really taking your time on the learn pages. Watch the videos, read the paragraph, it will really help! If its a big project, ask your teacher if you could do revisions or a redo for a slightly better grade. Good luck on getting your grade up!
